Ossila provides components, equipment and materials to enable faster and smarter research and discovery.
About us
Ossila was founded in 2009 by small team of organic electronics research scientists. Having spent many years both in industry and academia developing organic LEDs and organic photovoltaics, we know how long it takes to develop a reliable and efficient device fabrication and testing process. As such, we have developed a package of products and services to enable researchers to jump-start their organic electronics development program. Our team has significant industrial and academic experience in the processing of materials into thin-film devices. The vision behind Ossila is to share this experience with both academic and industrial researchers. We hope to enable materials science to become more efficient by providing products and support that take the hard work out of the device fabrication and testing process, thereby freeing scientists to focus on what they do best - science. Ossila is based at the Solpro Business Park in Sheffield. We run a comprehensive device fabrication cluster (housed in a class 1000 clean-room), and have a dedicated suite of OPV testing and analysis tools.

🏃🏃We're excited to announce that Ossila is participating in the Sheffield Half Marathon on March 23, 2025, to raise funds for SolarAid, a charity dedicated to providing access to clean, renewable energy across sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, 590 million people in this region live without electricity, relying on harmful kerosene lamps and paraffin candles after sunset. SolarAid's mission is to transform lives by distributing solar lights, offering immediate benefits to both people and the planet. Our fundraising goal is £550, and every contribution brings us closer to making a tangible impact. By supporting this cause, you're helping to extend the working day, improve health conditions, and reduce environmental pollution for millions. Join us in making a difference. Donate today and help us light up lives: https://lnkd.in/e-_5iU7d #SolarAid #SheffieldHalfMarathon #CleanEnergy #Fundraising #OssilaCares
