  • At Oxford Instruments, we’re determined to reach net zero in all the areas under our direct control by 2030, and across our whole operations by 2045. Today, we’re proud to announce we have formally submitted our ambitious near- and long-term company-wide emission reductions targets to the Science Based Targets initiative for validation. We have also set out how we’ll reach them in our newly published Net Zero Transition Plan: https://lnkd.in/e23svVyx. Richard Tyson, CEO, said: “We all have a role to play in tackling climate change, and we’re committed to playing our part at Oxford Instruments. Indeed,  our purpose is to accelerate the breakthroughs that create a brighter future for our world. Our products are helping leading academic and commercial researchers to discover and bring to market sustainable solutions to the global challenges we face. We want to ensure our own operations and our supply chain are sustainable too. That’s why we are committed to building on the emissions reductions we have made to date, and achieving our ambitious net zero targets.”

  • We’ve been focusing on men’s mental health this International Men’s Day, with a visit from the brilliant mental health advocate Mike O'Hara. Mike shared his own experience of coping with challenges, challenged us to rethink our assumptions and the reticence many people feel in talking about mental health, and prompted a richly rewarding open dialogue among our colleagues. Thanks, Mike, for a profoundly insightful and impactful session.

  • Our half-year results for 2024/25 are now out, presented to the market by CEO Richard Tyson (pictured) and CFO Gavin Hill: Richard commented: “The Group has delivered a good first half performance, with both divisions growing, reflecting strong demand in our semiconductor and materials analysis markets which more than offset the well-documented softer demand from the healthcare & life science market. I would like to thank the incredibly talented team across the Group for their significant contribution to these results and the transformation that is underway as we unlock Oxford Instruments’ full potential..." • Fantastic news and well deserved Velo - B2B Marketing Agency! 🤞

B2B marketing to be proud of 💚 Last year, we had the privilege of partnering with Oxford Instruments plc on its launch campaign for the Unity Detector. More than 'just' a new instrument, the Unity Detector paved the way for a new standard of imaging with the introduction of the BEX technique to truly move the market and make a real difference.   If that wasn't reason enough to be proud, we're thrilled to hear that the 'Making Imaging Elementary' campaign has been shortlisted for the Global Digital Excellence Awards in the Integrated B2B Campaign of the Year category!    Best of luck to the other finalists 🤞 #B2BAgency #B2BMarketing #GDEAwards Don't Panic Events
