🙏 A big thank you to our brilliant Oxford North CEO Sleepout UK team which has raised an impressive £3,250 for Oxfordshire Homeless Movement (OHM) as part of #WorldHomelessDay.   🌟 The team was organised by Harriet Hirst, Laing O'Rourke's Social Value Advisor for our project. Harriet said: "The sleepout event was held in University Parks between 8pm and 6:30am on 10 October. Whilst we can never fully understand the experience of sleeping rough night after night, this event opened our eyes to the realities faced by many. We were privileged to hear from inspiring speakers from charities and individuals with lived experiences who bravely shared their stories. Their insights unlocked a deeper understanding of the power of kindnesses and compassion for those whose experiences may have been very different from our own; highlighting the challenges of homelessness and the struggles that often continue even after securing housing." 🌟 We warmly welcome Simon Ruck as Oxford North's new Managing Director. Simon has more than 25 years’ experience and has joined from Brookfield-owned Advanced Research Clusters (ARC) where he was director, asset management at Harwell Campus, #Oxfordshire. ⚡ We also welcome Kevin Reid as our new #Energy and #Engineering Manager as part of the strategy to build the on-site management and facilities team ahead of opening in mid-2025. Kevin has more than 35 years’ experience and has joined from EMCOR UK where he worked at the Riverlabs Campus and GSK Campus in Ware. Simon and Kevin will be based at Oxford North and have joined ahead of the planned opening. 🏗️ We are delivering one million sq ft of new #labs and #workspace, 480 #newhomes surrounded by #publicparks and #amenities, just a 15-minute cycle ride from the city centre.
