The Manchester Metropolitan University has launched the Institute for Children’s Futures (ICF), harnessing research expertise to transform lives and tackle inequalities affecting children and young people globally. The ICF brings together academics, policymakers, and practitioners to address themes like safeguarding, digital childhoods, and youth justice. This marks a significant step in driving impactful change for future generations.
What a fantastic launch for our Institute of Children's Futures, which aims to transform the lives of children and young people across the region, UK and the world. Research themes showcased at the event, included safeguarding, children growing up in a digital world, youth justice and young people, and gender-based violence. Professor Saul Becker, ICF Founding Director and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Health and Education said: “The ICF will enable the University to maximise and accelerate its reach and impact, tackling gross inequalities which blight children and young people’s lives and futures. Working together, we can and will make that difference.” Find out more 🔗 https://bit.ly/4eA3u5L. Institute for Children's Futures, Manchester Metropolitan University
