This video is a recording of a Nullspace customer presentation webinar featuring Dr. Curtis Volin, Principal Ion Trap Designer at Oxford Ionics. He provides a walk-through of the layout and simulation of a linear microfabricated surface-electrode ion trap using #NullspaceES, an electrostatic simulation code. The #iontrap demonstration includes features that are not captured in a gapless plane approximation, including a load slot, Faraday cage, and finite die extent. Dr. Volin also introduces methods that exploit Nullspace’s symmetry features to reduce the memory size and runtime of large trap simulations. #NullspaceES is the world’s only commercial electrostatic solver for large-scale, rapid, and accurate ion trap design. It combines fast, direct solver technology with a flexible Python interface to drive innovation in ion trap development. Watch the full presentation to see the step-by-step workflow and Q&A, including meshing, simulation runtime, and walking through results. https://lnkd.in/gdijVNBJ 📅 Schedule a demo with Nullspace, Inc. today: https://lnkd.in/gBuxpFfG
