Celebrating 25 Years of PHRI Population Health Research Institute 🎉 💫Celebrating 25 years, Zayheda Khan, Oximio (Formerly SMO Group) Chief Commercial Officer and UK Managing Director, and Robin van den Bergh, Regional Sales Director, Africa were pleased to attend the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI) Symposium in Canada. 🤝They were delighted to have the opportunity to meet founder, Salim Yusuf, who, after starting a preventive cardiology and therapeutic program in Hamilton, #Canada in 1993, founded PHRI to broaden the research agenda. It has since gone on to shape patient care from local hospitals to World Health Organization guidelines. 🌟It was an excellent event and the duo enjoyed networking and learning about the latest industry innovations. The recent appointment of Celeste de Vries as Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), will be an exciting time for the business as we explore new opportunities and enhance our services in the region.
The Bonded Hub with Unbounded Opportunities in #Africa 🌍 🗓️ This week, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit our #logistics hub in #Kenya and meet our amazing team. 💊The dedicated facility offers unique capabilities for regional #pharmaceutical and #clinicaltrial logistics, serving as a hub for sub-Saharan Africa. Anyone who has visited the warehouse will agree that it is both impressive and inspiring. 👏The local team plays a crucial role in this success, continuously improving and implementing best practices from around the globe while expanding our capacity and capabilities. I am grateful to each and every one of them, and I would like to extend a special thank you to our Warehouse Manager, Abel Munene, whose dedication has been vital to our progress in recent years. ✨My visit also emphasized the growth and development of the region, reflecting our confidence in Africa as a key destination for clinical trials. To demonstrate our commitment to this vision, we will continue to invest in and strengthen our team. Yesterday, I was pleased to announce the appointment of Celeste de Vries as the Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
