BOHS LEV Practitioners' Award 2024 This new Award - specifically for LEV Specialists - will be granted to an LEV Practitioner/LEV Organisation or Group who – in the assessment of the BOHS Awards Committee has made: “a significant contribution to improving health in the workplace“. The Award will be presented at the annual BOHS Awards Dinner to be held at Brandon Hall, Coventry on 19th September 2024. Now is the time to support the LEV community and submit a nomination. Another great "Preparing for CoC(Control)" Conference Day - full house again! Big thank you to Kevin Bampton CEO, BOHS, Parmjit Gahir, President BOHS and David Towler, Chief Examiner, BOHS for leading us all though the structure of CoC(Control), the application process and the make-up of the Professional Interview. David T gave an insightful presentation on the "Professional Interview" content and those areas where delegates are sometimes a bit weak on responses etc. Very valuable. Full afternoon session setting up mock Professional Interviews under the guidance and mentoring of existing CoC(Controls) who gave their valuable time to make this such a great event. Full of laughter and joy. Seems I was the 'butt' (pun intended) of most of the jokes :-). For anyone who did not manage to make the day - our next CoC(Control) Preparation Day is on Friday 6th Sept - at Hilton Hotel, Leicester. Revised OXYL8 LEV TExT Report Templates It has been a wee while since we updated our Templates. The new versions - based on MS Word - now contain 'embedded' Excel tables for some functions which will take away the 'pain and drudge' of the maths and can automatically calculate, eg averages, velocities, areas, flowrates etc. I think we are a 'hop, skip and a jump' away from these Templates potentially automating the TExT data 'crunching' process and we could see the new Templates being used (almost) as an App on a (rugged) Tablet or Laptop. We'd be keen to have your views. As always we offer these Templates (and Guides) to everyone in the LEV/Industrial Ventilation Sector on a 'Free to use and amend' perpetual licence basis. Do feel free to re-design and make changes to suit your particular requirements. Inevitably we do retain copywrite on the original Template design and layout.
