We kicked off our annual wholesale latte art comps earlier this month, and as always we had a great time! Baristas from all over the region went head-to-head, pouring their best tulips, rosettas, hearts - even a seahorse or two. Big congrats to this year’s winners - Yorsalem from Federal Cafe & Bar , who took the Northern heat, and Katie from Iris and June Cafe, who topped the Southern heat. These legends will be off to the World of Coffee in Geneva, all expenses covered (plus a few extra goodies from Acme and our mates over at Minor Figures). Comps like these aren’t just about bragging rights (although with skills like theirs we’ll allow it). They’re a chance to keep baristas excited about what they do, connect with the wider coffee community, and push their skills to the next level. We think keeping your team inspired is key to a cracking coffee business, which is why we run events, training sessions, and roastery visits all year round. A huge thank you to Minor Figures for sponsoring this event which we appropriately made an oat milk only competition and the baristas delivered! If you’re keen to give your baristas more opportunities to grow and shine, flick a message to our Wholesale team - we’d love to help. Coffee + Beer = the ultimate breakfast combo on tap! ☕🤝🍺 Mikkeller has just launched Beer Geek Brekkie (Ozone Coffee Paramount Edition)! What better way to round off Dry Jan? For this special stout, they’ve used Ozone’s Paramount Blend - our carefully developed darker roast, crafted from a blend of Nicaragua Finca Limoncillo and Guatemala San Patricio. With notes of cacao nibs, dark chocolate, and roasted nuts, this blend is perfect for espresso drinks - and now, for an epic stout. We’re excited to collaborate with Mikkeller, the world-renowned brewery from Copenhagen that’s known for pushing the boundaries of brewing. With 250 branches across 37 countries and even a global running club, their range is pretty impressive, from hoppy IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, plus experimental brews featuring passion fruit, cherries, chilli, yuzu, chocolate, and more. Here’s what Mikkeller’s Head Brewer, Dio, had to say: "Beer Geek Brekkie is our take on the legendary stout that put Mikkeller on the map. We went all in, crafting our most complex Imperial Stout yet, brewed with 13 different malts, muscovado sugar, and a long boil, finished with Grade A Dark Maple Syrup to bring out rich caramel notes. After fermentation, we matured it for a month before infusing it with house-toasted hazelnuts and pecans. Finally, our friends at Ozone provided cold-brewed coffee using their Paramount Blend, adding bold intensity without any unwanted astringency or acidity." This is coffee beer at its best. London’s independent coffee scene is continuing to thrive in 2025, and we’re so proud to be part of it! We’re excited to share that Ozone has been featured in TimeOut London's recent roundup of “Best Independent Coffee Shops, Chosen by an Expert” – a guide curated by coffee expert Celeste Wong, founder of The Girl in the Cafe. Here’s what Celeste had to say about us: “Ozone is a really good one for not only the quality of their coffee - but because they’ve also got a great menu.” As Celeste points out, we’re not just about great coffee (though we’re pretty proud of that, too!), our menu is crafted with the same care and attention to detail. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or just a quick coffee stop, we aim to create a space that feels special every time you visit. A huge thanks to Celeste and TimeOut for recognising what makes Ozone unique and for shining a spotlight on London’s amazing independent coffee scene. Want to see who else made the list? Ever thought about mixing speciality coffee with tequila? Coffee expert Celeste Wong did just that on Sunday Brunch Channel 4, unveiling her Coffee Margarita Sunset using Ozone’s fruity Honduras: La Orquidea. This vibrant coffee bursts with red cherry and candy sweetness, layered with subtle blackberry and raspberry notes—an ideal base for a refreshing cocktail twist. Celeste has been a good friend and supporter of Ozone Coffee in both the UK and NZ over the years. Recognised by the Financial Times as one of London’s top five baristas, she’s a go-to voice in coffee consulting, lifestyle content, and writing. This year, she launched her debut book, Coffee Creations, packed with 90 recipes—both food and drink—spotlighting speciality coffee. You’ll even see photos from our Emma Street restaurant and Ozone Academy training room in its pages. Catch Celeste’s Sunday Brunch segment to see La Orquidea in action, and keep an eye out for Coffee Creations, now available in all major book retailers. Sipping our way through December! We kicked off the festive season with a Coffee Tasting event at our Shoreditch Eatery this past weekend. From fruity and sweet to nutty, chocolatey, citrusy, and floral, every flavour profile was beautifully showcased. The event was hosted by Rose Nicholson, our Ozone Training and Development Manager, who guided guests through the cupping-style tasting method for a true specialty coffee experience. A big thank you to everyone who joined us for this joyful event!

This year marks a remarkable milestone for Federal Cafe & Bar as they celebrate their 10th anniversary. It’s a journey we’ve had the privilege of witnessing from the very beginning. Over the past decade, Federal has become a real community favourite, known for its awesome coffee, delicious food, and warm, welcoming hospitality. At Ozone Coffee, we’re incredibly proud to have been part of the ride, supplying coffee and support through all the highs and lows. Reflecting on those early days, Claudio, Federal’s owner, said it best: "Our mission has always been to make everyone’s day better, and I believe we’ve been achieving that since day one." It hasn’t always been an easy path. Claudio recounted juggling a full-time job while opening the café, struggling to find supportive suppliers, and dealing with the inevitable hiccups of running a small business. Yet, he emphasised how these challenges shaped Federal into the thriving business it is today. From a single café to three bustling locations in Manchester, plus a coffee cart at Altrincham Market, Federal is now an integral part of the community. What stands out most is the passion and vision that Federal brings to everything they do. Claudio’s dedication to creating a welcoming, high-quality experience has resonated deeply with the people of Manchester—and beyond. With plans to expand to a new city in the coming year, Federal’s mission to "make everyone’s day better" is set to touch even more people. We’re super proud to have been their coffee partner for the last 10 years. "The coffee Ozone provides us with every week is incredible, and I think we’re known for the quality of our coffee. The support I’ve received from Ozone since day one has really stood out to me." Here’s to ten amazing years of Federal Café and Bar, and to many more ahead. Congratulations, Claudio and the entire Federal team—you’ve built something truly special. To read the full interview, check out our wholesale community page – https://lnkd.in/e7g_GnGE

The London Coffee Festival has kicked off a podcast series called 'Let It Brew' diving into the creative visions of coffee professionals and café owners, inviting them to chat all about their experiences in the coffee industry. Each episode covers the theme of 'Building the Dream Coffee Shop'. In this episode, Alex Dantes-Smith from London Coffee Festival sits down with Alexandra Dalton of Rascal Coffee—who grew up on a coffee farm in Guatemala and now roasts incredible coffee—and Emily Roach, Senior Account Manager here at Ozone Coffee who's been working in hospitality for over 15 years. Emily spends her days working closely with café owners, so she really gets the ups and downs of running a business in the hospitality industry. Together, they share their ideas for their dream coffee shops. Here’s a little taste of what they dreamt up: Alexandra’s Apapachar (which means “hugs”) is a New Orleans-inspired coffee shop with dive bar vibes and a no-laptops policy—unless you’re okay being tucked away in a dark corner! Emily’s cosy, Scandinavian-style café would have a resident dog, toasted banana bread, and nostalgic 2000s playlists to set the mood. This episode was recorded in our very own Ozone Coffee Academy training room, and it was such a brilliant opportunity to host and share ideas with these passionate coffee lovers. 🎧 Have a listen and start dreaming up your perfect coffee shop! https://lnkd.in/eczG_Ux5
