A key part of our focus at PageGroup is delivering meaningful insights to our customers to support their talent strategies. In that spirit, our Enterprise Solutions team hosted a breakfast seminar for some of our customers in our London office around the topic of Skills-Based Hiring.   A huge thank you to our outstanding panellists for their time, expertise, and thought-provoking discussions: Adam Hawkins | Neeta Saggar | Robert Newry | Joanna McCrae   Your real-world examples and expert insights not only brought the subject to life but also inspired all attendees to rethink their approaches to building a skills-first strategy.   Key Takeaways: ✔️ Skills as the New Currency: Skills have become essential, but their relevance is diminishing faster than ever, necessitating continuous adaptation. ✔️ Skill Shortages: Innovative strategies are vital to proactively tackle the growing challenge of skill gaps. ✔️ We need new approaches: CVs and job descriptions need to be reimagined to focus on trainable capabilities rather than solely on pre-existing qualifications. ✔️ Transitioning to Skills-Centric Organisations: While shifting to a skills-first approach requires a significant change programme, starting small in areas of immediate need can create impactful results. ✔️ Enhancing Talent Mobility: Organisations must leverage adjacent skills and embrace non-linear career paths to attract and retain the right talent. ✔️ The lively engagement and positive feedback from the audience reaffirmed the importance and timeliness of this discussion.   Thank you to everyone who joined us – we look forward to keep the conversation going by your side.   #SkillsBasedHiring #FutureOfWork #PageGroup

Understanding, exploring and using AI has become a key item on many organisations' agenda. For us it means leading the recruitment industry with innovative solutions that enhance our capabilities and drive success. Our CEO, Nicholas Kirk, recently shared how we are staying ahead of the game by integrating AI across our operations in order to drive success, and ultimately, build stronger relationships with our clients and candidates.

I've seen firsthand how AI can revolutionise the way we work, and the opportunity it brings to talent acquisition is undeniable. We’ve been working hard to integrate AI across our operations, leading the recruitment industry with innovative solutions that enhance our capabilities and drive success. Recently, I had the privilege of sitting down with Alex Bates, our Managing Director, Group Data Insights & Activation, to discuss AI's role in reshaping our approach at PageGroup. Here are the key insights and tips we discussed: 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 • Don’t be afraid to try something new. Our dedicated data and insights team is constantly exploring new ways that AI can ‘do the heavy lifting’. They work closely with our partners to push the boundaries, keeping us at the forefront of AI adoption. • Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. We continuously test various programs and are selective about the ones we choose to implement - some are successful, while others don’t make the cut. 𝗔𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 • Focus on areas where AI can deliver the most value and enhance your core operations, without compromising the essence of your business.  Ours is a business powered by people. When we look at AI integration, we always keep the human at the heart of it. 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 • Poor or partial data is not going to provide accurate and meaningful results, so it’s important to start with a strong, reliable data set. We leverage our extensive global database to gain insightful outcomes that have a real, and relevant, impact on our business. 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 • Equip your team with the knowledge and skills they need to embrace AI confidently and competently. • Continue to inform and educate your staff on the benefits and ethical use of AI on a regular basis. AI is a powerful tool that, when used thoughtfully and strategically, can transform your business. We see AI as a tool that creates efficiencies to allow our consultants to do more of what they do best – building strong, personal relationships with our clients and candidates. #AI #Innovation #PeoplePowered #FutureOfWork
