Day 6 (7th Nov) London 🇬🇧 We wrapped up our Medical Cannabis Awareness Week Roadshow with a great day of engagement in the capital city! Like our other popups, we engaged with members of the public with the support of our volunteers, and had lots of interesting conversations and interactions. On top of that, PatientsCann UK was invited to the Lambeth Together Public Forum, an alliance of NHS, Local Authority and Voluntary Sector Organisations, to which our volunteer, Sal Aziz, attended. The current issues and challenges facing patients were raised for the benefit of the local community. The Lambeth Together Board will look into a number of things including patient rights and a review into the prescribing of cannabis through the NHS Formulary. All in all an incredible week of awareness raising, and we can't wait to do it again soon! Day 5 (6th November) Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 A really impactful day of engaging with the Welsh people of Cardiff today! We had a good handful of volunteers helping out, even a panda 🐼 popped by! After a long day of raising awareness we headed over to Newport to J's MediVape Lounge, where we enjoyed some informational workshops followed by some great music from the local DJs 🎧 Thank you to all the volunteers, Seed Our Future and Cannabis Clinic Cardiff for a team of wonderful supporters 🌱💚 And as always thank you Fundación CANNA 💚 for your generous support all the way from Spain to get the important message, that cannabis is a medicine and has been available for 6 years to the people in the UK 🇬🇧 #MCAW #MCAW2024

Day 3/4 (4th & 5th Nov) Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Such a great reception from the Scottish community, filled with some really inspirational conversations 💚 We kicked off our "High"land experience with an evening at The Entourage Effect in Lanark, the locals are amazing so pop by if you're local! This was followed by a day at the Hampden Stadium, a historic site for those football lovers, at the Rise4Disability event in Glasgow. We had some really great discussions and can confidently say that the vast majority of service providers, healthcare professionals and the service users support the use of cannabis as a medicine 🌱 Thank you for the hospitality Scotland 🙏🏽 And thank you for your support Fundación CANNA Now for a long roadtrip to.... Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Day 2 Birmingham. Same message, new location! What a wonderful day of education and awareness in Birmingham. Great interactions with Birmingham Police Officers, who may need more training but have been extremely receptive and sharing their willingness to learn and improve. PatientsCann UK and the Northern Ireland Medical Cannabis Community were out on the streets of Belfast to kick start Medical Cannabis Awareness Week. We had a day filled with raising awareness that medical cannabis has been legal for 6 years and normalising cannabis as a medicine. Followed by a nice evening at Stay Medicated in Ballyclare to bring the Northern Ireland patient community together 💚🌱 Day 1 successful Next we're off to Birmingham for our next location of our #MCAW2024 Roadshow! 🌍 Standing Together, Empowering Each Other 🌍 We’re excited to support We, The Patients, a truly patient-driven initiative dedicated to bringing medical cannabis patients together in a safe space for connection, learning, and empowerment. As medical cannabis patients ourselves, we know the value of having accurate information and breaking down stigmas that impact our daily lives. Their first event in Madrid brought patients and experts together in an open environment for shared learning, a fantastic step toward building a supportive and informed community. Now, We, The Patients is preparing to expand this network to Switzerland and the UK! Helping even more patients access reliable information and feel empowered in their health journey.
