Updates

  • Meet the team behind the magic.   This May marks 10 years with PBH Rail for our Surveys Site Manager, Chris Walker.   With 20 years of surveying experience, including 13 on the railway, Chris joined PBH as a Senior Surveyor before stepping into the role of Site Manager in 2018. Over the years, he’s worked on projects across the entire country, with no week ever the same. Some days, you’ll find Chris onsite, others he will be leading surveys, or prepping briefs for upcoming projects. Fun fact: Chris unofficially holds the record for the most weekends worked at PBH—that’s true dedication.   When he’s not working, you’ll find Chris at the gym—his go-to therapy—or spending quality time with his wife, kids, and their miniature dachshund, Dolly. #Rail #RailEngineering #RailSurveys

  • Meet the team behind the magic.   This week, we’re spending time with Patrick Tate, our Senior Delivery Surveyor at PBH Rail. Patrick joined PBH almost 6 years ago as a Junior Surveyor, with no previous experience in rail. Since then, through dedication and learning, he has worked his way up the ladder.     Patrick’s day usually starts around 8:20 a.m., depending on how fast the bus driver decides to drive. Once sat down, coffee in hand, he spends some time catching up with everybody in the office and working on his morning admin before getting on with processing the sites that require his attention.   For Patrick, no job is the same and that is his favourite thing about his role at PBH Rail. A new challenge brings variety to the workplace.   Outside of work, Patrick likes to take his Cocker spaniel, Reggie for a long walk around town, and spend time with family and friends. He also plays 5-a-side football, and enjoys walks at Fraisthorpe Beach with his wife, that usually end with fish and chips. #Rail #RailSurveys #RailEngineering
