  • We are saddened to hear of the passing of Kris Hallenga the founder of the CoppaFeel! Charity that we have so proudly supported over the past few years. Kris, a ground breaker and total inspiration in the field of health education, whose passion and drive helped spread the message of breast awareness and encourages spotting the early signs of breast cancer. “Trust your body, believe in hope, leave room for miracles”. RIP Kris Hallenga.

We share the sad news that our founder, boob chief, colleague, friend and queen of glittering turds, Kris, has died. Kris was the biggest promoter of being ‘alive to do those things’. She approached life in a wildly creative, fun and fearless way, and showed us that it is possible to live life to the full with cancer. In 2009 Kris was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the age of 23, after being turned away from her GP for over a year. By the time she was diagnosed, it was terminal. Kris’ ambition was for no one else to find themselves in her position and so CoppaFeel! was born, to ensure breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately. Kris has reached millions of people with her message of health advocacy and empowerment, successfully campaigned for cancer education to be included in the school curriculum, won the Women of the Year Outstanding Young Campaigner award, received an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from Nottingham Trent University and wrote a Times Best Selling book: Glittering a Turd. Kris’ life mission was that CoppaFeel! would no longer need to exist, with late diagnosis of breast cancer eradicated in her lifetime. We are committed to continuing Kris’ legacy, to ensure that everyone has the best chance of living a happy and healthy life. If you’d like to support this mission, you can donate at the link in our bio. For 15 years Kris had been living with secondary breast cancer. She hasn’t lost a battle, she wasn’t in a fight and she certainly wouldn’t want you to see her death as tragic. She was simply living. She was 38 and died with fulfilment and a heart full of love. Kris’ family have one request - for peace and privacy to allow them the time and space needed to process Kris’ death. We would like to thank our community for your love and messages of support and kindly ask that you respect the family’s wishes at this time. Please remember the amazing life Kris led and the things she achieved, but above all else honour her memory by checking your chest…it could just save your life. ‘Trust your body, believe in hope, leave room for miracles.’ Kris Hallenga With love from all at CoppaFeel! • Thrilled to announce we have renewed our partnership with LGBT+ young people's charity Just Like Us for the 4th year running. We are just as committed now as we were 4 years ago to use our platform to raise the awareness of all the important work this amazing charity does. Just Like Us empowers young people to champion LGBT+ equality, including helping pupils and educators to establish and run their own Pride Groups in their schools and colleges. They act as a safe social space where LGBT+ young people can be themselves, make friends and access support.

We’re delighted to unveil our refreshed brand identity! New look, same mission; to ensure all breast cancers in young people are diagnosed early and accurately. The landscape has changed significantly since we launched 15 years ago, and as a youth focused charity, we recognised the need to stay ahead. We needed a brand that reflects our values and is future-proofed for 2024 and beyond. Grounded in audience insights, our updated brand has been designed to reach, represent and better engage all young people. Working with youth specialist agency Livity, we undertook a co-creation process working with 18-24 year olds across the UK. Created with young people, for young people. It’s important that this was an evolution not a revolution. We have remained true to our brand heritage and original CoppaFeel! spirit, with a refreshed brand identity that is more representative of the audiences we serve. We are more committed than ever to reach every young person with our chest checking message, and promote behaviour change that can save lives.

  • "The Social" is a team of employees from different departments at pdc brands UK who bring employees together. One of their recent initiatives was setting up a book corner on World Book Day, encouraging exchanging books. We absolutely love it and can't wait to see what books everyone brings in.
