Over the last few weeks our we've been meeting with local MPs to talk about the work that our brilliant colleagues have been doing for their constituents. We've been accelerating investment ahead of our most ambitious plan for the region - investing £3.2bn over the next five years, on top of the £1.2bn we've already spent over the last two years. Our plans to have more customers as shareholders, through our unique WaterShare+ scheme, directly gives our communities a voice in their water company, with more to come. Next week, Ofwat will deliver its final determination on our 5-year plan - as we continue to focus on what matters most to our customers. “On behalf of all my dedicated colleagues here at Pennon, we welcome today's announcement from Ofwat. With more investment than ever before, we can continue to transform what we do for customers and communities.” “For me, while today's news is about investment, the real story is about those who will deliver this change, the amazing people I work with, the generations of families that have served their communities in the sector for over hundreds of years and will continue to do so for the next 100 years.” Susan Davy.

We are investing a record £3.2bn for customers across the South West, Bristol, Bournemouth and Sutton and East Surrey to deliver what matters most to customers and communities for the period 2025-2030. Susan Davy, Pennon CEO said “Today’s news from Ofwat means that we have been given the green light to invest a record £3.2bn level over the next 5 years. This is on top of the £1.2bn we’ve already invested in our assets recently. We’re serious about making a difference now and in the future - our customers rightly deserve to see real change which we are already delivering. At the same time, we’re here to support customers to use less water, save more money as we do more than ever to support anyone struggling to pay their bill.” The £3.2bn investment will see further improvements across the main customer priorities – securing safe, clean drinking water, reducing the use of storm overflows across the regions’ bathing waters and protecting the environment, with investments in renewables. We’re celebrating 178 years of Bristol Water 🎉 On 16 July 1846, Bristol Water Works Company was formed by an Act of Parliament, which allowed for infrastructure such as tunnels and reservoirs to be built in order to supply clean water to the city 💧 Known today as Bristol Water, we still provide an essential public water service to the communities within and surrounding the city, as well as helping to address other social, climate and environmental issues. Bristol Water joined Pennon Group Plc in 2021, since then we have introduced our unique WaterShare+ programme to Bristol customers to give them more of a say in how we run the company and designed to give customers a share in what we do or money off their bill. Susan Davy, Chief Executive Officer said: “We’re very proud of the progress Bristol Water has made as it remains an integral part of Bristol and its surrounding area today, serving 1.2 million customers with around 280 million litres of water per day. Here’s to the next 178 years!” #BristolWater #WaterIndustry #DrinkingWater
