On December 3, 2024, our team celebrated a significant milestone at our new office and workshop in Dunsbury Park, Hampshire. We were honored to officially receive the King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2024! This prestigious award recognizes our growth in global markets and our unwavering commitment to innovation. HM Lord-Lieutenant Nigel Atkinson and Deputy Lieutenant Simon Tufnell presented the award. Jody Ashfield, our CEO, proudly accepted this honor on behalf of the entire team. The Thomas Centre is a wonderful family-run business dedicated to providing a warm and inviting holiday haven for families and individuals living with autism, Asperger's, ADHD, Tourette's, and other sensory needs, including cerebral palsy. In their ongoing effort to create enriching experiences, they recently unveiled a fantastic selection of outdoor musical instruments from Percussion Play. This addition features an enchanting pergola area specifically designed as a ‘music space,’ promoting connection and the joy of making music together. Lizzie Richards, the Business Manager at The Thomas Centre, perfectly expresses the essence of this initiative: “They’re for everybody and anybody!” The Babel Drum has been installed in memory of Richard Crean, one of the center's founders and Lizzie’s father. 'Cool Tones on the Riverwalk' is a project located in Brewer, Maine, along the Penobscot River. Its goal is to beautify the area and provide engaging activities for people of all ages. This initiative has been made possible through the generous donation from Doug Farnham, the former owner of Getchell Brothers Ice, a company that significantly contributed to the community along the river for over 75 years before its sale in October 2021. Doug's commitment to giving back to the community is truly inspiring. He states, “When we sold Getchell Brothers, we wanted to honor the community that welcomed us for so long. We also aim to recognize the incredible individuals who contributed to the ice industry and the harvesting that took place on the river.” Future plans for 'Cool Tones on the Riverwalk' include the addition of a bronze relief sculpture honoring the ice industry, which will be installed in the music park next summer.
