Recently, I’ve completed the Being an Effective Manager Programme, delivered by Jane Sykes, @Helen Savage , and Amy Samouelle. This course provided a strong foundation in management and leadership concepts, including the TGROW model for coaching, the Johari Window for improving self-awareness and communication, and techniques for using assertive language effectively. A key takeaway was understanding that people thrive when they feel valued, in control, and competent. The programme also offered practical tools for managing conflicting priorities, motivating teams, and handling difficult conversations constructively. This learning aligns closely with my MBA studies, contributing to a deeper understanding of effective management practices and preparing for future leadership opportunities.
