🎄Christmas Food Packs 🎄 A Gift of just £25 will provide food for a Christmas Lunch There are many traditions and fiestas in the Philippines that bring family and friends together but none more valued than Christmas. The Philippines holds the longest running festivity of Christmas in the world, starting from September to the end of December! Christmas is a time of spiritual reflection on the important foundations of the Christian faith and provides an opportunity for families to come together and strengthen bonds. It is a time of joy and excitement as families reunite together, but for the children and families we serve it is a stressful time where parents worry how they can provide a festive meal for everyone. Food scarcity is the number one concern for families every day of the year. And you can help change that by donating to our Christmas Food Pack campaign. There’s no better time to share Love and Christmas Cheer for others in tangible ways that help families come together at this most valued time in the Filipino calendar! Another fire incident in our community, fortunately only 4 of our families from our livelihood members and ALS graduates from Smokey Mountain were affected. We provided start up packs with bedding, hygiene kits and tarpaulins. Sadly they also lost all of their school items, we will also replace these items so they can continue with their studies. #community #helpingothers

It was lovely to welcome the VaVaVoom community earlier this year to join our team in the Philippines to see our work. We are so grateful to their on going support.
Earlier this year, I had the humbling experience of visiting the communities supported by the Purple Community Fund (PCF) in Manila. Witnessing their daily realities was eye-opening—families living in conditions challenging to imagine. Yet, what stood out most was their unwavering strength and resilience and how they uplifted one another. It’s a testament to the incredible power of community. PCF is creating meaningful change through education, food aid, and livelihood opportunities, transforming daily lives. At VaVaVoom, every new client helps us make a difference. For each sign-up, we donate food packs to the Purple Community Fund, spreading hope and making a real impact in the community. This short video captures moments from our visit—a glimpse into the hope and human connection that inspire us to do even more. Thank you for being part of this journey. #awaken2business #vavavoom #community #charity #livelihood #mission #donation #hope #connection

Wonderful pictures with Jane Walker MBE and Bronzegate team. Their partnership means so much and over the years has helped many families in need. 💜
We are thrilled to share that the Bronzegate team raised £17,000 for the Purple Community Fund (PCF). We undertook an ambitious 50km ultra-marathon charity walk from Windsor to Richmond and a bake sale at our offices, for this worthwhile charity. Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Jane Walker MBE, founder of the PCF, to our offices to share insights into the charity, and celebrate our achievement by handing out certificates to those of us who completed the walk. We want to say a massive thank you to Jane for coming in, it served as a powerful reminder of the impact funds raised can make a difference to the countless number of families in the Philippines that Jane and her team support. For those of you who are aren’t aware of PCF, here is a short reminder of the work that they do. PCF support some of the poorest communities in the Philippines, focusing on communities of waste pickers living near landfill sites. Since 2015, the Government has relocated families to low-cost housing resettlement areas. While this provides better housing, many families lose their livelihoods. PCF have set up centres to offer food, healthcare, education, and business loans to help them rebuild their lives. However, 6,700 families remain homeless, squatting on government land in makeshift shanties without basic amenities. Both groups face extreme vulnerability, and without external support, they struggle to survive and thrive. For anyone who would still like to donate to this amazing cause please see the link below: https://lnkd.in/eqHq8VRb
