Awwww cute! We recently installed a small Midea air conditioning single split unit in a server room at a school in Oldbury, Birmingham. We had to over come working on a high roof. We managed to access it safely via a scissor lift supplied by Pulse Hire Ltd! Which meant we could keep costs down, negate the manual handling and need for scaffold! We love these units! They are so easy to install, easy to maintain with Midea’s seamless App, and super good looking! Midea Cooling and Heating UK & Ireland (Fortune Global 500 Company)

Over the last few months we have delivered the full building and electrical installation, data communications, access control, flooring, air conditioning and installed new fire alarm detection throughout their new sports hall and fitness suite, classrooms, offices and new toilet block. We recently popped back to Thorns Collegiate Academy in Brierley Hill, where we previously installed a new air conditioning system, to ensure everything was running smoothly. A well-maintained system means a comfortable learning environment for students and staff! While there, we also carried out modifications to another system, relocating a cassette unit to make way for the school’s ongoing refurbishment and the construction of new classrooms. 📢 Important Update for Refcom Members As the UK's leading #FGas certification body, REFCOM continues to keep our members informed on critical regulatory changes that impact our industry. In response to queries raised about the inclusion of cellar cooling in the upcoming ban on split air conditioning systems, the #EnvironmentAgency has provided the following clarification: "The Environment Agency is in consultation with DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and the European Commission to ascertain the intent and application of the law and policy with respect to the types of equipment and the prohibition under point 15 Annex III 517/2014. Until such time that the Environment Agency has concluded those inquiries and ascertained the intent of the policy, we confirm that whilst we will enforce the ban in relation to comfort cooling; we will not enforce Point 15 Annex III 517/2014 in relation to single split air conditioning systems which are intended to cool product. Please be aware that the Environment Agency may enforce this Point in future, given the context of the #HFC phasedown in Great Britain and that fact that lower #GWP alternatives to these systems are available." Refcom will continue to monitor developments closely and keep members updated on the outcome of these consultations.
