While he was at SC Conference Series 24, Rich Jensen dropped by the Drut Technologies Inc booth to catch up with founder/president Jitender Miglani. Drut was demonstrating the capabilities of their DynamicXcelerator (DX Fabric). This uses POLATIS optical switch technology as part of its disaggregated photonic fabric, enabling AI solutions to be deployed to a broader group of users by providing higher resource utilization in a smaller footprint. By decoupling resources from the server chassis with a disaggregated photonic fabric, Drut’s users gain the ability to dynamically attach resources to nodes as well as upgrade resources independently of CPU upgrades. The HUBER+SUHNER Polatis team celebrated its very own 12 days of Christmas through December. Health and Safety ruled out installing a pear tree for a partridge to roost in (is that what they do?) and we all thought 12 drummers and 11 pipers might be a bit loud in an open plan office! Nonetheless, each day one lucky colleague won a less controversial but still Christmassy prize in the office prize draw. Together with our Christmas event, the Christmas Jumper Day and our collection for the Cambridge City Foodbank, it has been a great festive season at Polatis HQ. Happy holidays, everyone!

The HUBER+SUHNER Polatis team celebrated the annual Christmas Jumper Day by digging out the seasonal knitwear. Good taste (in many cases 😀) was sacrificed in the name of a very good cause, raising over £200 for Save the Children International whose vision it is to live in a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
