We're sure that can only be a good thing and we hope you'll think so too.

  • Just like that new fitness or diet plan you’ve taken up at the start of this year, there’s no better time to give your business some extra TLC too. So, lace up those trainers, stretch those muscles, and get ready for a special new year, fitness edition. How to put together the perfect insurance plan to keep your business fit and healthy 💪 Reviewing your business’ insurance needs every year is super important. Just like your exercise and diet needs change over time, your business’ requirements change too. Your business might have grown over the last year, or moved locations, or even branched out into a new kind of product or service. These kinds of changes may impact the insurance you have right now. Or mean you need to get an entirely new type of cover that you don’t have. Here’s what we’d advise doing now that 2025 has rolled around: 📝 Think about what’s changed in your business over the last year. 💬 Have a chat with your insurance broker and let them know about anything significant. 🔎 Take a look at your current insurance and check it still covers what you need it to. And that the cover amounts are high enough. ✔️ Make any changes as soon as possible. Like improving your current cover or buying a new type of cover. Best of all, unlike committing to a gym membership, you don’t have to do it every week 😉 Any questions, share them in the comments below. And check out the comments for more information on how you can prepare for your business for the rest of 2025.

  • Say hello to our unstoppable bee of the week - Lauren. She recently became the beauty and aesthetics team leader and has proven to be a really dedicated worker bee. Lauren helps clients get their insurance set up, supports them with advice, and even handles beauty and aesthetics claims when they arise. As well as managing the rest of the team. Outside of work, Lauren’s DIY skills are un-bee-lievable! She’s renovating her entire house, pretty much on her own. And when she’s not covered in sawdust, she’s more than partial to a shopping trip. A huge round of buzzing wings for Lauren. We all admire her determination and the way she supports clients and her team. She's the bee’s knees!

  • It’s officially 2025! Now the mince pie tin is running on empty, it’s time to start thinking about some New Year’s resolutions. Whether you want to run a 10k or… finally start that business you’ve always talked about? At the start of 2024, over 85,000 new businesses were created in the UK. It’s the perfect time of year to take a crack at something fresh. And set yourself some exciting goals for the year. To everyone that’s going to be starting out this year, we wish you the best of luck! And to all those businesses who have survived and thrived in 2024, congratulations and have a great 2025. When you’re writing up that perfect business plan, or tweaking it for another year, don’t forget the importance of protecting your fledgling enterprise with the right insurance. Do your research, speak to a reputable broker, and make sure you have the right protection in place.

  • There’s nothing like the toe-wiggling sense of warmth and satisfaction of relaxing in front of a crackling fire. Getting your business insurance sorted out feels a lot like that, we reckon. There’s more to it, though, because the burning of the Yule log at Christmas isn’t just about finding welcome relief from the harsh winter elements. ❄️ According to this ancient tradition, after finding the largest log you could find, you’d burn it in the hearth for 12 days (beginning on Christmas Eve). You’d then collect the ashes for good luck and to protect the home. In much the same way, having business insurance sets you up for the year ahead. Come rain, hail, or shine, it protects you from the kinds of finger-pointing, wallet-draining situations that could otherwise give you the shivers.

  • Why should you use an insurance broker? 🤔 With Christmas a week away, we thought we’d give you the gift of knowledge. Okay, that was a bit corny. Sorry. But it’s something important to consider for when January rolls around. We all know that feeling of getting to the new year, seeing that your business insurance is up for renewal, and lamenting that you have to pick up the phone or start trawling through insurer’s websites. Well, that’s where a good broker comes in (hint hint)! Here’s why getting biz insurance through a broker is a good idea: 🗝️ Most brokers aren’t locked into one insurer. They can find you the right policy and insurer for your business by casting the net wide. ⌛ A broker does all the searching for you. You can have a quick chat over the phone or get a quote online and they’ll come back with the best policy for your business. Talk about a time save! 💰 Contrary to popular belief, brokers can often be cheaper than going direct. Why? Insurers give brokers access to lower rates, because the insurer sees businesses who use brokers as lower risk. 🔍 Having to make a claim is one of the most stressful things about insurance. A good broker handles the whole claims process for you and gives you the advice you need. 🔒 Choosing the right broker comes with a lot of protections. Any broker worth their salt will be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. This means you get the backing of strong regulation and the ability to easily complain if things go wrong. Sounds pretty good, right? Check out the comments for more info on what makes brokers great. Deep breath. Now to finish the Christmas shopping.
