CASE STUDY - How can we make a difference? 🌊 🛰️ In the early morning of 28th Feb 2023, the MT Princess Empress faced severe sea conditions, leading to its submersion at 4:16 A.M. But it wasn’t until 2:00 P.M. the following day that authorities could confirm the spill and arrive on the scene with the appropriate oil recovery equipment. 𝐀 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝟑𝟒 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬.⏱ By then, the oil had already expanded across an area of 6 x 4 kilometres. Posaidon aims to shorten that gap. With Posaidon, the ecological and economical effects of similar incidents in the future can be minimised.
