⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ for this Level 3 City & Guilds Qualification… Who carries out your in-service inspection and testing of your electrical equipment (still colloquially known as PAT testing by most)? This two day City & Guilds' course has been designed for those with electrical experience, who want to cover the new Institution of Engineering and Technology In-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment 5th edition. A notable change from the old City & Guilds Portable Appliance Testing course, is the focus on all electrical equipment, both portable and installed - moving away from the traditional 'Portable" terminology. The largest change to the 5th edition is its move towards a risk assessment based inspection, with all inspection and testing of equipment to be carried out following an implemented electrical risk assessment. Throughout the course you will learn how to structure, implement and document this risk assessment and how to carry out the practical aspects of testing. Upon completion of this City & Guilds electrical technical course, you will gain the working knowledge to ensure the safety of electrical equipment in accordance with the newest codes of practices. In addition to the essential knowledge you will gain - this City & Guilds certificate is formal recognition of your skills and experience, which can improve your career prospects and provide new opportunities to progress into other electrical roles. Course dates for your diary: 🗓️ Tuesday, 18th February in York 🗓️ Tuesday, 12th March in Livingston 🗓️ Wednesday, 19th March in Slough Call us to find out more: 📞 0333 121 1215 #ppltraining #technical #cityandguilds #qualification #levelthree #electrician #electrotechnical #buildingservicesengineering

In your opinion, who holds the most important role within your Safe System of Work (SSoW)? Is it the person laying out the strategy, the Authorising Engineer (AE) at the top of the tree? The person on the tools, providing skilled labour to get the job done - the Competent/Skilled Person? Graham Taylor let us know in a recent interview that he thinks it’s the person in the middle of these two - The Authorised Person (AP) 🗣️ “… they have to make sure the work gets done - that’s business. But they also have to make sure it gets done safely, by following a set of rules that the AE has laid down.” Did you know? - we offer Authorised Person training for a range of disciplines, including: ⚠️ High Voltage Electrical 🔒 Low Voltage Electrical ⚙️ Mechanical & Pressure Systems ✈️ Aeronautical Ground Lighting 🏥 Medical Gas Pipeline Systems 🪜 Working at Height 👷♀️ Confined Spaces 🌬️ Ventilation For more information, visit our website: 🌐 https://lnkd.in/dDWpd8a Listen and view the interview in full: ▶️ https://lnkd.in/eX6h2_yB #ppltraining #highvoltage #lowvoltage #electrical #INSIGHTS #interview #clip

Is your organisation utilising Safe Systems of Work to keep you safe? And if so, where do you fit in the big picture? We know that many of our regular clients, and the industries in which they operate, do a great job of managing safety within their facilities. Particularly where trusted guidance is already in place: 🏥 The Healthcare Estate & HTM Guidance 🛡️ The Defence Estate & JSP Guidance 🧑🎓 Universities & AUE Shared Technical Guidance However, elsewhere where the regulation and planning of high risk activities is changing and evolving, we’re seeing that these key roles are still in place, albeit with different titles, and slight variance in responsibility. For people working within those industries, we asked our departing High Voltage / Low Voltage Electrical Systems Training Manager, Graham Taylor, to breakdown the key roles and responsibilities within a Safe System of Work as we know it. (You can listen and view here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/efDPi2VU) So let us know in the comments - what industry do you work in, and where do you fit in your organisation’s Safe System of Work? #ppltraining #engineering #safety #maintenance #hse #guidance #estates #facilities
