Great to see techUK launch their latest report, 'UK Plan for Chips: A techUK blueprint' this week, with our CTO, Richard Price featuring as part of a roundtable discussion, 'Turning strategy into action', alongside fellow industry leaders and government. Welcoming this updated report, Richard commented: "Semiconductors are the backbone of modern technology, and securing the UK’s role in this fast-growing industry is vital for economic growth, innovation and resilience. Core value creation lies in semiconductor manufacturing, which has significant potential to boost the UK’s economy. Yesterday, our Senior Director of R&D, Feras Alkhalil was delighted to host Vice Admiral Andrew Burns CB OBE, Royal Navy Fleet Commander and Durham alumnus, alongside Professor Kieran Jude Fernandes and Stephen Evans from Durham University at our NETPark site. The visit involved an overview of our unique manufacturing process and seeing our innovative flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology up close, followed by a walking tour of our labs and facilities. Feras serves as a Visiting Fellow at Durham University, alongside many members of our R&D and Engineering teams being alumni. Great to continue to strengthen our collaboration with the university!
