🚀 PrecisionLife wins €2.5m EIC grant to transform endometriosis triage & treatment with unique precision medicine insights 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that #ProjectTRANSCEND has been awarded a multi-million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC)! Endometriosis is a complex and debilitating disease affecting 190 million women worldwide, yet diagnosis takes an average of 8–10 years through invasive laparoscopic surgery. This must change. TRANSCEND will develop and clinically validate a rapid, non-invasive precision medicine test using a simple buccal swab. This test will: ✅ Evaluate an individual’s lifetime risk of endometriosis ✅ Uncover disease mechanisms to guide personalized treatments ✅ Enable faster, more accurate triage and specialist referrals ✅ Accelerate repurposed drug trials for better treatment options Our mission is clear: ✔️ Triage & refer faster ✔️ Treat more effectively ✔️ Improve millions of lives Huge thanks to the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) for recognizing the urgency of addressing this global health challenge. With this support, we’re working to close the diagnostic gap, improve patient health outcomes, and reduce the cost of care. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/ez3KHhhA #EndometriosisAwareness #PrecisionMedicine #WomensHealth #EICAccelerator #EUeic #ProjectTRANSCEND

These findings bring us closer to understanding Long COVID and help speed up the development of accurate diagnostics and new treatments for the more than 65 million people around the world experiencing debilitating symptoms. We are grateful to the many partners working together to advance discovery. PrecisionLife researchers used a previous analysis of genetic data from the UK Sano Genetics Long COVID study to identify genes associated with the condition. A collaboration with Metrodora Foundation opened the door for researchers to examine the National Institutes of Health All of US dataset and reproduce these findings. This work continues as Metrodora Institute is now recruiting participants in the US for the MELO Study on ME/CFS and Long COVID, which aims to evaluate biomarkers. Access to the preprint is available in the full press release at the link below. https://lnkd.in/gZQXuNfC

Delighted to see PrecisionLife awesome partner Metrodora Institute discussing how they are seeking solutions for #longcovid and plans for diagnostic studies. excellent job Rohit Gupta and Summer Dashe 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 #melo
NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo recently welcomed two members of Metrodora Institute’s leadership team to his show to talk about Long COVID and the MELO Study. “I’m here for your findings,” Cuomo said. “I’m here for how you analyze it and what it means and what you want people to know.” Rohit Gupta, Metrodora’s CEO, and Dr. Douglas Jones MD, an allergy and immunology specialist, highlighted the Metrodora Connect app, a digital patient engagement platform. “We can really consistently put everything together in one place, which makes it more accessible and more definitive for researchers,” Gupta explained. During the broadcast, Dr. Jones discussed his hope for next steps. He said, in part, “truly validating these patients, understanding where they are, and getting to the deeper questions of why.” Cuomo has been an outspoken advocate since developing Long COVID after a 2020 infection with the virus. We were sincerely grateful for the opportunity to share this groundbreaking work with his viewers! #LongCOVID #PostViral #PostViralSyndrome #Cuomo #NewsNation #Research #MedicalResearch #Metrodora #MetrodoraInstitute #COVID19 #COVID #MECFS #ChronicFatigue #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis #MELO #MetX
