We recently collaborated with our sponsor, Prism Infosec, to conduct some penetration testing on our behalf, using their innovative Cyber Security as a Service platform, LuxisAI. This gave us real-time access to testing results as they were discovered, enabling us to promptly address identified issues and take proactive steps to manage risks, all without waiting for a traditional report. Throughout the engagement, in addition to the access to LuxisAI, we received regular updates from both the testers and the project delivery team and we received excellent support from the team.   Phil Robinson, CEO of Prism Infosec says "I'm delighted that our team had the opportunity to deliver a penetration test to The Cyber Scheme as part of our long running association with the organisation. It was great to see TCS use our innovative LuxisAI platform and observe the live results of our testing!" Sean McCormack, Operations Director at The Cyber Scheme adds: "I was fortunate to work with Prism recently on a pen test. Prism, as one of our esteemed sponsors, were able to offer the pen test as part of their commitment as a sponsor and I’m very grateful to them for that. I have to say that I found the whole ‘customer experience’ professional and slick. The communications from their PMO and the testers were really clear, timely and regular, plus I was able to keep up to date with ‘live’ reporting on their LuxisAI portal. A very enjoyable experience, as part of our ongoing information security assurance program."

  • 📢 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆? 📢 Black Friday is one of the key calendar dates of the year… But for cybercriminals it can also be the perfect time to target. Fake adverts and products disguised with prices that may be too good to be true can sometimes be incorrectly validated, due to this time of year where great deals can be found. Customers may leap and checkout with sites that are nefarious in a rush to get a deal that may be fuelled by time-pressures. Here’s what to watch out for and how to avoid scams: ✅ 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲: Make sure you’re on the right site, a reputable brand or retailer may have had their site cloned! Double check for HTTPS in the URL and avoid unfamiliar sites. ✅ 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Use price trackers or sites like Trustpilot to verify claims. ✅ 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝘀: Stick to credit cards or secure payment platforms like PayPal for an extra layer of protection. ✅ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀: Poor grammar, unusual sender addresses, or pushy sales tactics can signal a scam. What to Do If You Think You’ve Been Scammed: ·   Act Quickly: Contact your bank or payment provider to stop transactions. ·   Change Passwords: Update login credentials if personal details were exposed. ·   Report the Scam: Notify the platform, retailer, or even local authorities. ·   Keep an eye: On both your bank statements and email addresses, review for any unauthorised activity. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, How Prism Infosec Can Help: - Incident Response: we offer an Incident Response service in which we can guide you in assessing and mitigating damage. - Staff Awareness Training: Equip your teams with the knowledge to spot scams before they escalate. - Attack Simulations: Our Red Teaming services can simulate a cyber security breach with focuses on phishing, vishing and smishing. Don’t let Black Friday scammers ruin your holidays - 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱. If you think your business has been compromised off the back of a Black Friday scam, don’t hesitate to contact us. https://lnkd.in/enBepa7y #BlackFriday #CyberSecurity #StaySafe
