  • Client portal workshops, team expansion, and the beginning of Christmas festivities! It’s been a productive month at Privalgo HQ 🚀.  Here are a few November highlights from across our teams: We gathered a group of Privalgo leaders to prioritise our next-generation client portal features. Hosted by Hatched, our UX partner, we mapped out what matters most to our clients, following extensive user research. The US election saw increased activity from our clients securing currency risk management solutions for their businesses. 📈 We welcomed several new joiners who will be instrumental in helping us on our scaling journey, including Pritha Prasad as Senior Application Support Engineer (pictured here with our Tech team in their release day shirts ✨) and Levi Huntingdon as Business Development Manager.  To kick off the festive season, we hosted our very own pub quiz in the Privalgo office that saw fierce competition between teams. We officially surpassed our fundraising goal, raising £16,000 for our charity partner, Grief Encounter! A proud milestone for us in our efforts to help more young people access support in the face of a devastating loss. 🎉 Here’s to the last month of an impactful 2024!  #privalgo #fx #fintech

Last night, we got stuck into a much-loved part of British culture and hosted the first Privalgo Pub Quiz! 🏆   Team P were put to the test in our office, facing questions on sport, music, celebrities, films, and much more. After four rounds of intense quizzing, Bratz were crowned champions! The winning team consisting of Maria Burns, CA, Jessica Allen, Siobhan Nicholls, Parveena Johal, Olivia Clark, and Aimée Holland claimed top prize with a winning score of 60.5 points. 👑 But the night wasn’t just about testing our general knowledge – it was also about bringing the team together, having some laughs, and celebrating our culture here at Privalgo. A big thank you to everyone who joined in and made it such a fantastic evening. And, of course, congratulations to our winning team! We can’t wait to see you all at the next one! #PubQuiz #CompanyCulture #InternationalPayments #FX

  • Would you pay £5 for your morning cup of coffee? ☕️ A takeaway flat white from Pret A Manger would’ve cost you £2.45 in 2019. Today, the same coffee will now set you back £3.60 – a 47% increase. Globally, coffee prices are currently at a 13-year high. According to the International Coffee Organization, the cost of one pound (450g) of coffee beans is up 55% compared to 2023.  Coffee drinkers will be well aware of the rising prices, but why exactly is this happening?  In our latest article, we’re looking into why UK importers are paying more for their coffee, how these costs are being passed on to consumers, and what businesses can do to cut costs and manage risk.  Swipe right to learn more or follow the link to read the full article: https://lnkd.in/ecVzNPNF #coffee #coffeeimports #coffeeuk #fx #internationalpayments

  • It's just one week until the 2024 US election. With the vote too close to call, here are the key things you need to know about its impact on USD: 💵 Polls are predicting a tight race between presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Historically, US elections have spooked financial markets. The uncertainty they create often leads to sudden, sharp swings in the value of the dollar. Mainly, this is due to investors reassessing their expectations for economic policy, trade relations, and government spending based on the likely winner. For businesses that send or receive USD payments, the next two weeks could be a crucial time to evaluate your currency risk management strategy. Swipe right to learn the potential impact of the election on the dollar or read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/e9rvspKt #USelection2024 #dollar #USD #internationalpayments #fx
