Great turn out at today’s Property Week I&L Conference (so good in fact that we need additional chairs brining in to the room!!!) and great to be here with Tom Baines and James Eddowes An esteemed line up for the first panel session with Simon Carter Jason Longhurst Lynda Shillaw and Fergus Harradence moderated by Jason Rockett. Some great thoughts from the panel: 🔯Grid connections can help us unlock renewable energy; we have huge roof spaces which we could make use of if the grid connections could be put in place. Feels like such an easy win to me! 🏡Housing might take priority from a planning perspective but we can’t forget I&L; the quantum of I&L required for each new homes is ever increasing and so its importance as ‘critical infrastructure’ cannot be underestimated…. 🔌Whilst we all identify issues surrounding power to new sites we much not forget availability of other critical infrastructure needed to deliver new sites in the wider I&L space.
