Last week, the Protagoras team attended our annual Christmas party! We kicked off the afternoon with our company meeting, where we celebrated the team’s incredible achievements from this year and handed out five awards to team members who have gone above and beyond to embody our company values. Afterwards, we headed to dinner for some great food and even better company! 2024 has been a fantastic year filled with growth and success for Protagoras. We have plenty of new faces around the office, growing from 22 employees in late 2023 to 34 as we close this year. We’re also excited to announce that as a result, we will be extending into a shiny new office in January! As a team we are looking forward to 2025 and continuing to act as strategic partners for our clients and their organisations. As we wrap up Q4 2024, we are pleased to welcome two new members to our team! Rexford Cofie has joined as an Analyst, with two years of experience in commercial life sciences strategy, analytics, and digital platform optimisation for large pharmaceutical clients. He holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from University College London. Alejandra B. has joined us as a Senior Analyst, with a strong background in competitive intelligence. She has worked alongside global teams at pharmaceutical companies to support decision-making throughout the product lifecycle - from early-stage development to post-launch monitoring. She holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and an MSc in Genomic Medicine from the Queen Mary University of London. We are very excited to welcome these talented members to our team and are looking forward to working with them in the coming months. #NewStarters #Growth #Team

Tomorrow, Richard Ogborne and Oliver Spray will be attending the One Nucleus Genesis 2024 conference in London! The use of Decentralised Clinical Trials (DCT) has increased over the past few years, with the pandemic acting as a significant accelerator. As many as 87% of sponsors and contract research organisations are conducting trials with decentralised aspects, compared to 28% pre-2020. A key driver for this shift is to ease patient burden which in turn should improve recruitment and retention for clinical trials. However, with this decentralisation, a host of new challenges have arisen. Last week, the Protagoras team swapped their laptops for cues and spent an evening going head-to-head at our shuffleboard social!
