Importance of Soil Compaction in Road Construction 🌱🛣️ Proper soil compaction is a key factor in extending the lifespan of roadways, as it significantly improves their engineering properties. So, what exactly is soil compaction? It's the process of applying energy to loose soil to eliminate voids, increasing its density and, consequently, its load-bearing capacity and stability, among other properties. The goal is to enhance the engineering properties of the soil. 🚜🌿 Why is soil compaction so important? 🌟 1️⃣ Increased Load-Bearing Capacity 💪 2️⃣ Minimized Settlement 🔧 3️⃣ Improved Water Drainage 🌧️ 4️⃣ Reduced Soil Swelling and Shrinkage 🏞️ 5️⃣ Frost Damage Prevention❄️ Next time you embark on a construction project, remember the vital role of soil compaction in ensuring robust and durable infrastructure. 🏗️💡 #SoilCompaction #InfrastructureEngineering #ConstructionInsights

Welcome to PRS Geo-Technologies®, the global geoengineering company dedicated to building a future where every corner of the world is accessible. For over 25 years, we have been at the forefront of innovation, combining advanced technology with proven engineering expertise to implement complete solutions for load support, slope protection, earth retention, and landfill applications. At the heart of our technology is our strong and durable cellular confinement system for soil stabilization, Neoloy® Tough Cells. With PRS Neoloy Tough Cell solution, you can build better roads over any challenging soil while saving at least 50% of the costs and time required for your project. Our technology is engineered to last, ensuring that your infrastructure projects are sustainable and built to endure. We believe that advanced technologies should be green, which is why we use marginal and recycled materials as infill. By using locally available soil for structural infill, we're reducing the need for imported aggregates and asphalt, making our technology more sustainable than traditional methods. With thousands of successful projects implemented in more than 80 countries worldwide, and validated by over 117 published papers, PRS has proven that in the 21st century, we can leverage advanced technology to build a more sustainable future. We're proud to be paving the way for better infrastructure, using less resources and time, and improving the quality of life for communities around the world.

Why using locally available granular material for infill makes all the difference in #roadconstruction 🚜🌍 When #buildingroads, using locally sourced materials like sand for infill within Neoloy® Tough-Cells offers efficiency, sustainability, and cost savings. Here's why local granular material infill beats traditional quarry materials: 1️⃣ Cost-Effective: Eliminates the need for costly graded aggregates by using easily available materials. 2️⃣ #Eco-Friendly: Reduces the environmental footprint by cutting down on quarrying and long-distance material transportation. 3️⃣ Faster Construction: Locally sourced materials are easier to handle, leading to faster project completion. 4️⃣ Reliable Performance: When combined with Neoloy® Tough-Cells, it provides exceptional load distribution and prevents lateral movement. 5️⃣ Versatility: Perfect for soft soils where flexibility and durability are key. 🚧 Turning challenges into durable solutions 🚧 Soft soils, clay layers, and alternating wet-dry cycles can wreak havoc on road foundations—causing cracks, rutting, and costly maintenance. For the Ibisweg reconstruction in Zeewolde, we faced exactly these challenges. The Solution? Combining PRS Neoloy® geocells with Naue Combigrid® reinforcement created a stiff, stabilized foundation that: ✅ Prevents lateral movement and differential settlement. ✅ Distributes loads evenly for durability. ✅ Extends road lifespan while reducing maintenance costs. Thanks to this proven engineering system, our partner team delivered a robust, sustainable road foundation—designed to last. Got a similar project?
