  • Team PURE celebrating 2024

2024 has been another wonderful year for Team PURE. I am very grateful to work with two of my best friends and super smart women Sarah Harraghy and Karen McMillan. With two weeks to go until Christmas, we wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday season and much health and happiness in 2025. As always, we would like to say a massive thank you to all our clients for their support. It has been great fun working with every one of you 🙏 P.S. My New Year's resolution is to get someone with long arms to take my selfies 🤣 PURE Capability

Director @PURE: Executive Team Coach helping businesses, teams, and individuals connect, collaborate and create value.

"People don’t just want to belong, they want to contribute". On a Team, hearing what people really think is crucial. Greater understanding. Stronger appreciation. Better problem-solving. Effective decision-making. Especially important when the stakes are high. Yet we know from experience, it’s not easy. Dominant voices, entrenched positions, a lack of listening, multiple voices speaking (to name just a few) can all stifle open and honest dialogue. I found this a really helpful read from HBR; a short article that packs a punch with lots of practical tips to help surface honest views whilst enabling collective responsibility and respect: **Talk about permission upfront; what permission do you need from the team, what permission do they need from you to participate successfully? **Empower your team to be active in the process; to ask, invite others, express openly **Encourage language and tonality that help comments land thoughtfully **Create a safe environment where voice is proportionate and listened to PURE; gives space and structure for honest conversation PURE Capability Sally Taylor Sarah Harraghy

  • Concise, impactful communication is a super-power Well written emails and presentations are proven to save time, speed up better decision making, and improve productivity. It’s a skill that is often neglected. Yet it’s a power we are all capable of. The good news is, it only requires 3 simple tricks In our work helping clients, we’ve identified 3 techniques that work every time: 1. Structure information to hook them in, then outline problem before solution 2. Create “so what” headlines with key messages 3. Let the headline dictate the data Easier said than done, we know, but that’s why it’s worth trying. PURE - Where the art of communication is made simple

Research has shown that people who have a sense of purpose in life are happier, more resilient, and more successful than those who don’t. The same is true in business. Whilst it sounds easy, it’s often quite difficult to engender a clear sense of purpose. Don’t believe us? Try it. Pick a project you’re working on and ask your teams these questions: •What does success look like? •What’s the desired end point? •Why are we doing this? If they all say the same thing, you’re on to a winner. If not, “may the force be with you”. You’re going to need it. PURE – there’s a reason we start with P. It's the summer holiday season, and what better way to spread some joy than with a cute dog picture 🐶 Meet Teddy and Bear, my two furry companions who fill our home with love and positivity every day. Their happy and open demeanour brings smiles to people's faces, however their day is going. Research shows that positivity is contagious and essential for navigating the complexities of today's world. It helps people work better together and opens the mind to different possibilities. Embracing a positive outlook can inspire and empower teams in the most challenging of circumstances. PURE where positivity is a cornerstone for better collaborative thinking. 🌟 PURE Capability Karen McMillan Sarah Harraghy
