Legal Advisor at newcleo. LLM student at Queen Mary University of London. Alumni of The University of Sussex.

I am honored to share that I have completed my Master's degree and have graduated with an LLM specialised in Criminal Justice from Queen Mary University of London. This achievement represents a significant milestone in my academic journey. Studying at QMUL School of Law, I have had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge through modules such as International Human Rights Law: History, Theory, and Politics, Principles of International Criminal Law, EU Criminal Law, Nuclear Energy Law, Terrorism, Human Rights and Migration, Public Affairs Advocacy and Comparative Criminal Justice. During this time I wrote and defended a library-based, in-depth research and data collection, Dissertation met with Distinction titled ‘A Critical Race Theory analysis: The impact of privatisation on the incarceration industry of the United States criminal justice system and the evolution of the private prison model to the immigration enforcement sector.' A key highlight was the privilege of being able to enhance my knowledge and interest in Nuclear Energy Law. A special thank you for the invaluable teaching of renowned academics: Professor & Public international lawyer Norah Gallagher Academic Director of the Energy & Climate Change Law Institute, and Chair & Council Member of UKELA, CoRWM, Stephen Tromans KC a leading barrister, expert in energy law and author of the top three leading nuclear law textbooks. This module covered essential topics such as the understanding of UK and International Laws, Conventions, Treaties and regulations applicable to the nuclear sector, Safety, Security and Safeguards, Liability & Insurance, the role of EURATOM and the impact of Brexit, Principles of nuclear licensing, the role of the ONR, Policy aims of Governments, Geopolitics and New Build, Extending the lifetime of existing NPP, and the Decommissioning & Waste Management. This allowed me to write the essay: ‘An analysis on the emergence of privatised nuclear entities, the ONR regulatory framework of Public-Private Partnerships, and its impact on the UK’s civil nuclear energy sector.' This essay furthered the approach of the importance of symbiotic collaboration of the private and public sector in the advancement of the nuclear energy industry, specifically the UK’s efforts in reaching a symbiosis PPP model. I am deeply grateful to my family & friends for their everlasting support and encouragement, your constant belief in me has been my greatest strength. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to my professors, mentors and peers. Thank you all. As I transition into the next chapter of my career, I look forward to exploring opportunities where I can make an impact and contribute to the dynamic legal landscape! LL.M TMT Candidate, Queen Mary University of London | Corporate & Commercial Lawyer | Banking & Finance | Technology | Co-Lead, Law4Her Mentorship Programme

As we begin 2025, I reflect on an exciting and transformative few months. This past semester marked the beginning of my journey at QMUL School of Law QMUL - The London LLM where I’ve had the privilege of taking Telecommunications Law, E-Commerce Transactions and IT Transactions. It has been a challenging yet rewarding experience! I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge topics and collaborate with peers who bring diverse perspectives to the table. Looking forward to the next semester, I am thrilled to explore Banking and Fintech Law and E-Commerce Regulation. These subjects could not be more relevant in today’s financial and regulatory landscape and I’m eager to build on the foundation I have laid this past term. Wishing everyone a successful and fulfilling new year ahead!! #happynewyear #QMUL #2025 #fintech #banking #ecommerce #regulation #telecommunications
