At Quantum Science we’re shaping the future of photonics, and we’re thrilled that our CTO, Dr Cong-Duan Vo, has been recognised by Electro Optics as one of the top 100 innovators in this sector. Dr Vo has been featured in The Photonics 100 – the list of visionaries making groundbreaking contributions to optical technologies and research worldwide – in recognition of his pioneering work advancing INFIQ® infrared quantum dots. Dr Vo contributed to the initial creation of INFIQ® technology and has directed its ongoing development. His efforts co-inventing Quantum Science’s SWIR QD inks have resulted in a unique technology that provides the industry with a cost-effective, high-performance QD solution for mass production of SWIR image sensors. On 26 May, the Quantum Science team is swapping its beakers for sneakers and taking part in the Great Manchester Run 10k to raise money for Warrington Animal Welfare. Duan, Stuart, Parth, Bruce, Kishore, Frank, and Ramakant are joining the run in support of a charity that means a lot to everyone in the business. The work that Warrington Animal Welfare does for caring for abandoned, abused and unwanted pets is close to everyone at Quantum Science’s hearts. Unfortunately, animal shelters like this are still in high demand, especially after the rise in pets being abandoned after the COVID-19 lockdowns.
