On Wednesday 1(8.09.2024) we unveiled Teresa Margolles' monolithic sculpture Mil Veces un Instante (A Thousand Times in an Instant) at The Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. This long awaited commission has been two years in the making, we are proud to be a main collaborator for this commission, working closely with the artist and the UK-based trans community to bring this project to fruition. The sculpture consists of plaster casts of the faces of 726 trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals from Mexico and the UK. It serves as a tribute to trans lives, highlighting their resilience, struggles and protests against transfemicide and transphobia. It is also a tribute to Karla, a transgender woman close to the artist who was tragically murdered in Juárez, Mexico, in December 2015. Read more about the commission here: https://lnkd.in/e2i2c349
