Our charity, Raising Health, is holding its next Mind-Fit Workforce charity business networking event later this month! The free event is open to all businesses across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and will take place: 💻 online 📅 Monday 20 January 2025 ⌚ 3.30pm to 4.30pm. The event will bring together business leaders, wellbeing champions, mental health advocates, and NHS professionals to discuss Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and practical tips to support wellbeing during the colder months. Attendees will benefit from: - information shared by LPT cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) psychotherapists - tips on how to use simple CBT-based interventions to support individuals at all levels - time for questions and discussions. Magda Korytkowska, fundraising manager for Raising Health, said: “Mind-Fit Workforce is our charity’s way of giving back to the local business community. At Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, we rely on support from local individuals and companies to be able to fund initiatives to go above and beyond for our patients and provide more than what the NHS core funding could cover. Our Raising Health charity also supports front-line colleagues and their wellbeing. “LPT is the local NHS Trust specialising in mental health and community wellbeing support, so business will get a lot out of joining this unique collaboration. Together we will address the topics of wellbeing support and prevention, which aims to help people before they reach their crisis point. This then helps businesses to understand what they can do to prioritise their most valuable asset—a healthy, mind-fit workforce.” For more information and to book your place please contact lpt.raisinghealth@nhs.net Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eq66r9dZ

  • ✨ As we bid farewell to this year, we have a message for you. ✨ The end of the year can feel overwhelming when social media is filled with celebrations and achievements. But progress isn’t always about big leaps—it’s in the small, brave steps you took. Sometimes, just showing up is the biggest accomplishment of all. It’s okay if your year didn’t look like everyone else’s. It’s okay if your highlights are quieter, or if you’ve been focused on simply getting through the days. 💙 Take care, be kind to yourself, and remember that you are enough! 💙 From all of us at Raising Health, wishing you a New Year filled with hope, healing, and compassion.

  • 🦊⚽ Heart-warming Visit from Leicester City Football Club!💙 A big thank you to the Leicester City Football Club (LCFC) Engagement Team for their thoughtful donation of sports equipment and board games to the CAMHS Beacon Unit! The Beacon Unit is a 15-bed inpatient facility dedicated to supporting young people facing severe mental health challenges and eating disorders. These gifts—selected from the patients' wish list—already play a big role in enhancing their stay and promoting wellbeing. They have made a huge difference during their time at the unit over Christmas. Sophie Lem, Ward Sister, welcomed Jamie Brewin from LCFC to tour the unit and discuss how these donations make a meaningful impact. During the visit, patients shared their excitement about the possibility of Filbert Fox joining them for a PE session—stay tuned for updates on this fun collaboration! Thank you, LCFC, for spreading positivity and supporting the mental health of young people in our community. We all at Raising Health and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust are grateful for your continued support. 💙

Staff will be sharing presents with patients who will be on our wards on Christmas Day, including those at Coalville Community Hospital (pictured). The gifts have been provided under Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust’s annual Raising A Smile For Christmas Appeal. It aims to provide 600 Christmas gifts each year, and this year has been supported by public donations and support from Amazon, Giving World, Dunelm, Leicester City Football Club, Tilbury Douglas, Fusion Electrics, and Thomas Cassie. Melanie Wakeling, from LPT’s community health services directorate, said: "Some of our patients don’t have any visitors and often find this a very lonely time. These kind gifts could make all the difference to them and are deeply appreciated. On behalf of the inpatient wards, we would like to thank everyone involved in the appeal for the presents. These will be given to all our patients who, unfortunately, have to spend this festive period in the hospital." Magdalena Korytkowska is the fundraising manager for LPT’s charity, Raising Health. She added: “This festive tale of compassion and kindness is one we all will remember, as the project would simply not be possible without the incredible generosity of our supporters. Thank you so very much to everyone who helped us bring the initiative together.” You can still donate. Go to: https://lnkd.in/d6aifhTd... See insights Boost a post Like Comment Send Share
