📢 10,000 more apprentices can qualify each year following the Government’s announcement earlier this week. Businesses will now be able to decide whether learners over the age of 19 will need to complete a Level-2 English and Maths qualification for their apprenticeship course rather than it being mandatory. By reducing red tape and giving employers more control over qualifications, these changes will help unlock opportunities in high-demand sectors like healthcare, social care, and construction—driving business growth and ensuring more people can thrive in their careers. These updates mean employers will have more flexibility to train apprentices based on job-specific needs while still ensuring core skills are assessed.
