Join our webinar at 11am CET on 27 February to discover how Raspberry Pi can be a reliable, cost-effective, and scalable solution for industrial applications. There, Raspberry Pi’s Elisabetta Bianchi, Dave Lee, and Roger Thornton will give an overview of our industrial product range, as well as some success stories from companies already harnessing the power of Raspberry Pi. The webinar is free and open to all, but will be particularly useful to COOs, CIOs, and CFOs looking to optimise operational costs and drive innovation; operations managers seeking solutions to enhance industrial efficiency; innovation managers exploring new technologies for the future of manufacturing, and technical leads or engineering managers involved in deploying and integrating new solutions. We will be joined by guest speakers Maria Chizzali from Sfera Labs and Enrico Svampa from VEM. Presentations will be given in Italian and English, and there will also be a Q&A session with our engineering team. Follow this link to join us: rpltd.co/webinar-feb-25

Industrial-grade SiP powered by RP2040 enables seamless network acceleration and secure IoT connectivity. Combining its W5500 Ethernet controller with RP2040 to make a single system in package, WIZnet enhanced its device offering to provide a more comprehensive network offloading solution, enabling smoother and more efficient development for its customers. The new chip, W55RP20, leverages the power of RP2040’s dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ architecture and combines it with the robust networking capabilities of W5500. To support W55RP20’s rapid adoption and ease of development, WIZnet also introduced W55RP20-EVB-Pico, an evaluation board in the familiar Raspberry Pi Pico format. These 3D printers mean business. While some printer brands focus on building machines to support the quick and easy home printing jobs lots of makers need, Formlabs has always been more focused on industrial customers, so it makes perfect sense that the newest model is built on Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. https://lnkd.in/e6avAxjM

I had the honor of hosting a Raspberry Pi for Business event in #Nigeria, bringing together key players in the industrial #hardware #electronics market, hardware hobbyists, and enthusiasts in #Abuja and #Lagos. During the event on January 28th and 30th, we delved into the exciting realm of commercial and hobbyist projects emerging from #Nigeria. The discussions shed light on the growing utilization of Raspberry Pi products across various sectors, including Enterprise Computing, energy management, digital signage, and Agri-Tech. A notable highlight was the presence of Mike Buffham, the Chief Commercial Officer at Raspberry Pi, who shared insights about Raspberry Pi and its products, alongside our local reseller, Swift Berry I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the attendees and participants who made these events a success. Special thanks to Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Josiah Owura, Tobi Ayeni Garki Hospital, Adamu Onu, Banke Ajagunna, Innov8 Hub, AfriLabs, Bashir A., Jonathan Uzomba, Jude Nkereuwem, Idris Oladipo, Kelechi Uchenna, ROBOTICS & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE NIGERIA (RAIN), Nurudeen Abiodun Adesokan, Olubori Okudele, Deuel Clement, Oluwatobi Ogunbowale, Adebukunola Omotoso, Durojaiye philips, Precious Ogbezuode, Adeka Solomon and many others, that I can't fit into this post for their valuable contributions and support.

Accurate maps of intricate cave systems help improve the safety of intrepid divers. A combination of acoustic and magnetic mapping is used to plot the location and direction of unexplored passageways — an endeavour made more robust with Raspberry Shake, a Raspberry Pi–based device more commonly used to detect earthquakes. The maps are also useful for dive guides keen to show off speleothems (such as stalactites and stalagmites), and for developers to know whether building on a particular area is possible. Read more about the mission and Raspberry Shake’s contribution: https://lnkd.in/e5hn9imh

One of the things we've always been focused on is making sure our products are continuously supported and improved with software. We don't just ship and forget. We've been working with the Igalia team now for a long time, developing and supporting OpenGL and Vulkan support in Linux. The payoff doesn't just mean higher frame rates in games, it also means better composition performance in browsers and general composition in the operating system...
