This week we join our partners in marking World Antibiotic Awareness Week. #WAAW Antibiotics are ineffective against viruses, and viruses are the cause of 8 in 10 sore throats. This World Toilet Day, we’re spotlighting the ‘Harpic Loocator’ app, an innovation from our Harpic team in India that helps people find nearby public toilets. Our deep understanding of consumers helps us develop solutions to improve health and hygiene, whether through product innovations or the way we engage and connect with the people who rely on our products. According to a recent survey in Delhi, 70% of women struggle to find a usable, clean public toilet when needed and spend an average of 60 minutes searching for a hygienic bathroom. The lack of access to toilets forces many to restrict their water intake while outdoors, which can have health consequences, such as dehydration and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
