Why should B2B be any different? With an unofficial theme of “The Age of Influence” yesterday LinkedIn’s #B2Believe came to #london in style. We heard compelling new research and insights (and of course just as excitingly had the chance to catch up with our #linkedin partners Mike Varallo Rosa Maria Guzman) and were inspired all over again by an invigorating talk by Steven Bartlett on 'Mastering The Art of Influence'. ✔️ Thought leadership is one of the fastest growing formats on LinkedIn. Thought Leader Ads garner 2.3x more CTR on the platform - did you know we at Red Connect partnered with LinkedIn on the Thought Leader Ad format launch? (We’re experts in the field btw and can help with all kinds of #B2B influencer work!) ✔️ The business of influence is not linear and while YES it’s vital to think person-to-person (P2P), there’s a more intricate web of influence that drives B2B decision making - we need to consider influencing Buyer Groups ✔️ Think you need to work with a well known influencer with a huge following? Think again! Your people can be your greatest power, and consider working with #microinfluencers who have expertise and can have great quality niche connections ✔️ #Video continues to dominate. Make it human! Video delivers 40% more engagement on the platform than other formats, and video tends to lead to 95% more retention than text alone. You don’t need to do it perfectly (polished isn’t best!) but you do need to know how to do it right ✔️ Storytelling remains king. Think of a story arc, just like Steven does in his podcast #diaryofaceo and just like we aim to do with all our content. Content only works if it engages and how do you engage people? Through #storytelling! ✔️ We’ve moved to a world of the Relationship Economy. Yes, there’s a huge demand for AI skills but there’s also a huge demand for human skills (we at Red Connect like to call it AI + EI - Artificial Intelligence plus Experience Intelligence, ask us about it!)
