🐝 🌿 Beehives 🌿 🐝 At the BioHub, we’re proud to be fostering sustainability and enhancing biodiversity through a unique initiative that blends nature with business, our six beehives! These buzzing little workers play a vital role in boosting pollination across our site, especially within the agroforestry area. By doing so, they help improve the health and productivity of the surrounding ecosystem which will support a more resilient environment for years to come. 🍯 Our bees create delicious, locally-produced honey. This honey isn’t just a sweet treat, it’s part of our broader commitment to sustainable agriculture and creating value throughout our supply chain. This year, we were thrilled to see the fruits of their labor included in the corporate Christmas gift hampers for our clients at Wimbledon through Levy 🐝 Integrating these small, but mighty, contributions into our operations is one of the many ways we’re working to foster greater environmental stewardship while also offering a personal touch to our business relationships. We’re excited to continue nurturing this project and seeing how our bees help shape a healthier, more productive environment, one jar of honey at a time. On World Soil Day, we take a moment to reflect on the critical role healthy soils play in building a sustainable food system. At RegenFarmCo our regenerative agricultural projects are focused on UK organic perennial woodland foods, including nuts, fruits, leafy greens, and mushrooms, carefully selected to thrive in local environments. Unlike annual crops, perennial plants live for more than two years, creating deeper root systems that stabilise and enrich the soil. By maintaining soil cover, enhancing soil structure and supporting a thriving biota, perennials play a vital role in protecting and restoring the land for future generations. As we continue to explore the adoption and commercialisation of perennial crops, we are committed to promoting farming practices that nourish both the land and the communities we serve. Join us in celebrating the power of regenerative agriculture and the importance of Soil Health in building a more resilient and sustainable future. #WorldSoilDay #RegenerativeAgriculture #PerennialCrops #OrganicFarming #SoilStability #SustainableFood - #EcosystemServices #Biodiversity #NaturalCapital #EcosystemManagement #SoilHealth #WaterConservation #HabitatRestoration #WildlifeConservation #LandscapeRestoration #SustainableLandUse

🌳 National Tree Week: Growing a Sustainable Future with Agroforestry 🌳 As National Tree Week comes to a close, we’re proud to highlight the role that agroforestry plays at Regen Farm Co in fostering both sustainability and biodiversity. Agroforestry is more than just growing trees alongside crops, it's about cultivating a thriving ecosystem where trees, plants and soil all work together to create a resilient, diverse and sustainable farming environment. On our farm we’ve planted 111 apple trees across 93 unique varieties along with mulberry trees and hazel trees. These trees are an essential part of our agroforestry system, carefully chosen to complement the crops we grow and enrich the soil. Why do we choose trees like these? It’s all about creating synergy: 🍏 Vigorous Growth: We use M25 rootstocks for our apple trees, which are known for their strong, robust growth. This allows our trees to thrive in the varied conditions of our farm while providing excellent support for both the fruit and the surrounding ecosystem. 🌳 Diverse Benefits: The combination of apples, mulberries and hazel trees not only provides a variety of high-quality fruit but also creates habitat for wildlife and helps conserve water and soil nutrients. 💧 Environmental Impact: These trees play a key role in reducing erosion, improving soil fertility and promoting water retention all while absorbing carbon and enhancing biodiversity. By incorporating these trees into our farming system, we’re not only boosting the sustainability of our operations but also contributing to a healthier, more balanced environment. Agroforestry is about more than just planting trees, it's about fostering an ecosystem where trees, crops, and the natural world all thrive together. As we celebrate National Tree Week, we’re reminded of the importance of trees in farming and our responsibility to protect and nurture the land for future generations. Here's to growing more than just crops, here's to growing a better, greener future! 🌱 Dr Vincent Walsh Chelsea Felstead Iain McDonell Claire Trinder Lewis Sadler Levy QuornPro Yorkshire Water Sapling Spirits | B Corp #NationalTreeWeek #Biodiversity #NaturalCapital #EcosystemManagement #SoilHealth #WaterConservation #HabitatRestoration #WildlifeConservation #LandscapeRestoration #SustainableLandUse
