We are delighted to have won the Future of Real Estate category at last week's 20th anniversary EG Awards. This award recognises the hard work and dedication of our brilliant colleague, Al Beevers who is truly moving the dial on health and safety in the real estate industry. Health and safety can often be a watchword for caution, but tackling some of society’s greatest H&S challenges requires continual innovation and a relentless ambition to try new things. As well as leading a comprehensive refresh of our health and safety policy with an explicit and strategic focus on innovation, Al has spearheaded an annual ‘H&S Innovation Challenge’ which offers funding for novel innovations from our supply chain that are tested on our projects. This has resulted a several UK and world firsts, including the UK’s first ever pilot drone clean of the windows and façade of a high-rise, city centre building in King’s Cross.   Keeping health and safety at the heart of Related Argent projects is fundamental to Al’s ethos, so this award is much-deserved. Huge congrats to Al! #EGAwards2024

We are excited to announce that from spring 2025, we'll be welcoming competitive socialising brand, Electric Shuffle to the Parkside neighbourhood in King's Cross. The arrival of the cocktail and shuffleboard bar taps into the significant growth of competitive socialising and provides a permanent leisure activity for those who live, work, study and visit the estate. This follows the huge success of our seasonal competitive socialising activations, Club Curling and Club Petanque. Parkside, the area surrounding Lewis Cubitt Park, is the last remaining retail neighbourhood available to lease and features 20 retail units ranging from circa 700 sq to 9,000 sq ft. News of Electric Shuffle comes hot on the heels of a clutch of other retail signings this autumn, which you can read more about here: https://lnkd.in/eg5nqNQB

In part two of our colourful Christmas launch at King's Cross, we have unveiled 'Fluorescence' by British visual artist, Liz West. Fluorescence is the latest in our annual Granary Square winter installation series, which has seen many brilliant artists present their work over the last 10 years. It is part of our ongoing commitment to providing free and accessible public art to those who live, work, study and visit King's Cross. The 10.7m high tetrahedron is a sight to behold and it is already brightening up these shorter, darker days. You can find it on Granary Square until the end of February 2025: https://lnkd.in/ePY5QE6J 📸 John Sturrock

We are pleased to announce a new partnership with SNG (Sovereign Network Group) to bring forward 50 new social rented homes at our £8bn, 180-acre Brent Cross Town development, which we are delivering with Barnet Council. SNG will fund and manage the 50 new homes, alongside grant funding from the Greater London Authority (GLA). The one, two and three-bedroom tenure blind homes will provide much-needed affordable homes for the area when complete in mid-2027. This is the second phase of affordable homes at Brent Cross Town, following the upcoming completion of 120 affordable homes later this year. Brent Cross Town is set to deliver 6,700 homes, including affordable options, market-sale, build-to-rent, co-living, student and later-living alongside new public parks and community infrastructure. 🎄 It's officially Christmas at King's Cross 🎄 Last night we invited our retailers, office occupiers and residents along to help us celebrate the launch of Christmas at King's Cross, featuring our six much-loved Club Curling lanes, a brilliant new technicolour bar area thanks to the masters of psychedelic neon signage, God's Own Junkyard and a beautiful, twinkly 50ft traditional tree in Coal Drops Yard. Still to come is our annual programme of festive markets, a new Granary Square installation - which is going to look incredible against its wintery backdrop - and the arrival of Liliane Lijn's 'Temenos' on Lewis Cubitt Square for the fourth year running. There's so much to do this winter at King's Cross and you can check it all out here: https://lnkd.in/eAvn6xd8 Thanks to Kit and Caboodle, GODS OWN JUNK YARD LTD, Real Hackney Dave, Four Agency Worldwide, Garden State London, John Sturrock and MediaNatives for making it all happen.

Huge congratulations to Grimshaw, Maynard Design Consultancy, EQUATION Lighting Design and AtkinsRéalis, winners of this year’s RIBA #StirlingPrize. While we are disappointed King’s Cross didn't bring home the trophy last night, we were blown away by the standard of the entries this year and think the #ElizabethLine is a very worthy winner.   It would be remiss of us not to use this opportunity to acknowledge the very many people and companies that have been involved in the King’s Cross regeneration project over the last 20+ years, none more so than Allies and Morrison, Porphyrios Associates,Townshend Landscape Architects and everyone at Related Argent and KCCLP who has made King’s Cross possible.   We are so proud to have played a part alongside the brilliant Bob Allies, Graham Morrison, Demetri Porphyrios and Robert Townshend who masterminded the project, and whose vision remains at the core of everything we do today.   We cannot thank everyone individually (though we’d like to!) but special mention goes to all the architects we have worked with over years: Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Big Architecture, Heatherwick studio, Alison Brooks Architects, Stanton Williams, dRMM, Bennetts Associates, Eric Parry Architects, Bell Phillips BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd), Moxon Architects Ltd., Morris+Company, PRP, Mossessian Architecture, WilkinsonEyre, Conran and Partners, David Chipperfield Architects, NIALL MCLAUGHLIN ARCHITECTS LTD, Maccreanor Lavington, Fumihiko Maki Architecture, Lee + Wilkinson Architecture, Studio Downie, Howells, Piercy&Company, Carmody Groarke, Coffey Architects, David Morley Architects LLP, Johnson Naylor, Knight Architects and Wilmotte & Associés Architectes.   Thanks also to the judging panel and to everyone at RIBA for shortlisting King’s Cross for this prestigious prize – and to the public for helping us win the People’s Poll, with 35% of the vote!

With thousands of votes cast overall, you chose King's Cross Masterplan by Allies and Morrison and Porphyrios Associates as your winner of our Stirling Prize People's Poll 2024 🎉 Although its last new buildings are just being completed, the redesigned King’s Cross is beginning to feel like it has always been there, and that, crucially, it ‘works’. There is no higher testament to the success of a masterplan as a piece of city-making. But which building will the judges choose? Join us for behind the scenes action and the announcement of the winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2024 – the UK's best new architecture, on 16 October. On the night we'll also be announcing the winners of our special awards; the Stephen Lawrence Prize, Client of the Year Award, the Neave Brown Award for Housing and our Reinvention Award. ➡️ Explore this year's shortlist with our exclusive new films: https://ow.ly/z0Be50TL0uf 📷 Gusto.film #StirlingPrize is sponsored by Autodesk
