Shifra Noy (71) was brutally murdered in her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz by H@mas terrorists on 7th October 2023. It took 12 days to identify her body. Her house was burnt to ashes. But one of the very few things that survived the flames was Shifra’s little Hanukkah menorah - a present from her daughter Dorit. Israel Hassid, a Zaka volunteer who operated in the massacre scene, found it, and today it will be lit by her family. “My mother’s home was always full of light. The whole family used to celebrate holidays at her house, and even if we were missing the event, she used to send us boxes of food she had cooked”, Dorit said to Ynet. The last boxes Shifra sent to Dorit on 6th October 2023. At the eulogy, the kibbutz described Shifra as “our mythological preschool teacher” for many years. She was also a talented seamstress who always used her skills to help others. She sewed for herself, her daughters and later also her grandchildren about 150 fabric dolls in a variety of patterns such as monkeys, turtles and rabbits. #remember710 #hanukkah #menorah

Remember 7.10 reposted this
For over a year, their eyes have looked upon us from every corner—those missing people we never knew personally, yet for whom we fight tirelessly to bring back. During their captivity in Gaza, we’ve learned so much about them—we’ve listened to their favorite music, cooked their beloved meals, and connected with their families. Still, so many questions remain unanswered… But we promise, we will not stop until every one of them is home!

It has been 14 months since the H@mas attack, but for many first responders time stopped on 7 October 2023. Many of them are still dealing with #trauma of the battlefield and the atrocities they bare witness too. The smell of death, the tortured bodies of the victims and the imminent danger they were operating under, are hard to comprehend. We thank them for their heroism and bravery. #remember710 #heros #firstresponders

While the world’s attention shifts to other news, the families of the hostages taken on October 7th have nothing else on their minds other than bringing their loved ones home. In the pictures: Doron Steinbrecher, 31, veterinary nurse, with her mother and sister in better times, and from a video published by H@mas in Jan 2024 100 hostages are still held captive since October 7th. #bringthemhomenow #remember710

The terror organization Ham@s released a propaganda video today, showing the #hostage Matan Zangauker (25), in which he calls on the Israeli public to continue protests in support of a deal with H@mas. He also described the harsh conditions in the captivity, such as lack of water and medications. Matan was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on the morning of October 7, 2023, and has been held captive in #Gaza ever since. This is the first sign of life his mother, Einav Zangauker, has received. She said: “my heroic son has survived in captivity against all odds, but this sign of life from Matan proves that he will not survive much longer — and the hostages are in imminent danger. We have to bring everyone home now, immediately.” She added: “ “Netanyahu, end this war already and bring everyone home!” #bringthemhomenow #remember710
