  • Whilst many are getting in the festive spirit, for some of us it can be a very difficult and stressful time - especially if you're already struggling with trauma and your mental wellbeing. It’s easy to get lost in thoughts and expectations of how you should feel or what you should be doing, but there is no right or wrong way to navigate this season. Finding things you can do that help make it easier is a great place to start. There are also services that can support you if you need an extra helping hand. • ✨1 in 3 of our users is 45+ This powerful stat reminds us that healing has no age limit. Many in this age group may have experienced early-life trauma and faced barriers to seeking help—whether it was too difficult to talk about, hard to admit, or simply inaccessible. We’re here to change that narrative. With the re;mind app, we’re creating a safe space to support everyone on their journey, no matter where they start or how long it’s taken to get here. 💬💪 Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever your trauma. You’re never alone, and it’s never too late to prioritise your well-being. #MentalHealthMatters #HealingJourney #SupportSystem #TraumaAwareness #ItsNeverTooLate #Trauma #PTSD

Building UMA BOX | Talk all things childhood trauma & CPTSD | On a mission to Trauma-Inform the world

👉 TRAUMA. The world doesn’t like talking about trauma, despite the heartbreaking irony that it’s our BIGGEST ISSUE in society, but also the most painful and ignored. For me and Freya Hickman, it’s all we talk about. Sometimes I feel insane, pulling my hair out wondering; why aren’t we in the streets demonstrating, demanding a better mental health system and correct psychoeducation for all? We’re not in the streets just yet, but instead building our companies to address trauma from different angles: providing support, psychoeducation and competent therapists to a very underserved client group; all types of trauma survivors.  💡 Freya’s re;mind app offers grounding tools and psychoeducation to support people in the aftermath of trauma and PTSD, and I’m obsessed with complex trauma—childhood trauma/Complex-PTSD — and helping survivors find a competent therapists and the right psychoeducation. We are both on a mission in the trauma space, building a foundation waiting for more people to join. 💡 We are not just fighting for survivors’ support but also for the TRUTH: the truth about trauma’s impact, its prevalence, and its denial within our mental health system. I believe Truth will prevail. Let’s build this together. All the Love, Nic #CPTSDtech  #ChildhoodTrauma #ComplexTrauma

  • As the festive season arrives, it often brings with it a sense of joy, gatherings, and celebration. But for those managing trauma or PTSD, this time of year can be especially challenging. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone, and it’s okay to recognise that this time of year might be difficult. Self-care becomes even more important during times like these. Take time to set boundaries, prioritise rest and prepare yourself with tools to help manage any triggers that you might experience. Whether it’s deep breathing exercises, grounding techniques, journaling, or connecting with supportive people, try to keep those resources close at hand. 💛 If you’re able, consider creating a personal “toolkit” to support you during the season. This might include a few calming practices, safe ways to reach out for support, or a quiet space you can go to if things feel overwhelming. Sometimes, it’s the smallest acts of self-care that can make a big difference. Remember, you’re allowed to experience this time of year in a way that feels right for you. Your well-being is the priority, so be gentle with yourself and know that it’s okay to take things day by day. ✨If you feel you need a little extra support, head to our website where you can find a free downloadable guide which gives some tips and ideas to help you navigate the festive season in a way that not only helps you get through it, but may also help you thrive. https://loom.ly/cs_TeGQ #Selfcare #trauma #triggers #christmas #mentalhealth #wellbeing #PTSD #freedownload

📽️ Watch Sharon Livermore MBE Poem "Finding Me: A Journey from Fear to Freedom" 📽️ For the first time, we're releasing Sharon's powerful poem, Finding Me—a deeply personal reflection on the reality of domestic abuse and the journey to survival. In honour of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Sharon wanted to share her story to show that, despite the pain, there is hope and a future for survivors. 💜 Through raw and courageous words, Sharon's poem sheds light on the isolation, fear, and strength many survivors experience. Her message is clear: while the journey is challenging, reclaiming your life and finding peace is possible. This video is for all victim/survivors, those still facing the pain, and anyone seeking to understand the real impact of domestic abuse. Let Sharon's story be a reminder of resilience and hope. Watch the full video here and join us in advocating for a world where everyone is free from abuse. 💪 #FindingMe #16DaysOfActivism #EndDomesticAbuse #SupportSurvivors #DomesticAbuseAwareness #HopeAfterAbuse #NoExcuse

  • Do you feel jumpy or distressed when fireworks go off? Sudden, loud noises and bright flashes might remind your body and mind of past distressing events. They may take you right back to the event as though it’s happening to you again, now, leaving you feeling like you're in immediate danger and very on edge. It can feel as though your body reacts to what's going on around you before your mind can catch up with what's actually happening in the here and now. It can feel very scary and disorientating. If this resonates with you, there are things that you can do to help during moments where something happens that causes you distress. Many people find that learning more about trauma, the ways in which it affects them and how they can identify and manage their triggers helps. Visit our website or download the re;mind app to explore tools and resources designed to help you understand your triggers and find relief from trauma-related distress. Start your journey today.
