To celebrate National Tree Week this week, we have been reflecting on our commitment to nature 🌳 Earlier this year, we announced that we were delighted to be joining forces with The Tree Council through their Tree Partner programme in order to help enhance landscapes across the UK. Through our pledge to donate £1 to tree planting initiatives for every resident who signs up to our e-communications on R&R Online, we are financially supporting The Tree Council in its mission.  Additionally, we are also looking for opportunities to donate volunteer hours to help establish the new trees and hedgerows. For example, our Senior Property Manager, Martin Newhouse, recently joined a working party organised by The Tree Council at West Horsley Place in Surrey. By the end of the day, Martin and the other volunteers had cleared and mulched approximately 250 metres of new hedgerow. The Housing Minister’s recent announcement on leasehold reform marks an important milestone for our industry.    His commitment to introducing regulation for managing agents and mandating qualifications for property managers is a welcome step toward raising standards and ensuring greater professionalism throughout the sector.   At Rendall & Rittner, we’ve long supported measures that prioritise competence, accountability and the necessary safeguards, together with a resident-first approach.    Our recognition as a Regulated by RICS firm and our TPI, Investors in People and British Safety Council accreditations, reflects our commitment to these principles, and we believe the Minister’s proposals align with the service values we uphold.   We welcome the government’s measured approach to reform, which recognises the critical role professional property management plays in safeguarding and enhancing the lives of those who rely on us, especially in today's heightened regulatory environment.    We remain committed to contributing to the consultation process and working alongside the sector to shape meaningful and lasting change.
