Poor energy access means simple health problems can escalate quickly and become life-threatening for marginalised communities in Nepal who rely on these facilities. If we reach our target, by December 2025, we will install solar energy systems, alongside refrigeration and other energy-enabled equipment in a further 7 rural facilities where there is an urgent need. We will do this in partnership with local government partners and health staff to ensure the systems' long-term sustainability.
