Our Moneyhill charity shop sits amongst a cluster of other businesses on Moneyhill Parade, Rickmansworth. It has been great to connect with them as we get ready for the Festive Shopping Event taking place at the shop this Sunday, from 10am-4pm. https://lnkd.in/eyjsY3ZE Thank you to the businesses in the area who have generously donated gifts for our raffle which will be drawn at the event! A huge thank you to our long term corporate supporter, Highwood Financial Services and to John Helfgott for dropping into the Peace Hospice with their latest donation of £3,000! This money has been raised by allowing members of Watford FC's President's Club to park in their private car park on match days, in exchange for a donation to Rennie Grove Peace. This brings their total raised to date to a whopping £36,840 which is just amazing! 👏 With the cost of running our clinical service at over £17,000 a day and with statutory funding currently at just 14%, the support of our local business community is invaluable to help us fill the gap. On Saturday we were delighted to be able to support the Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care Light up a Life Service at St Albans Cathedral. The service brought together bereaved families who had the opportunity to light candles and hand messages of love on the the trees around the Abbey, all of which will be transferred to the Peace Hospice to hang on their main tree over the Festive Period. We were entertained throughout the service by The Jupiter Singers and Charlotte Smith. 💜📞 “If you, or somebody you know, is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, you can contact our Coordination Centre straight away. We will work with you to identify what is most important to you and what support you might need, then suggest the services that will best suit you. Janethri is an administrator in our Coordination Centre. The Centre acts as a single point of contact for everybody who needs to access our services, taking referrals from patients, family members and healthcare professionals. Janethri explains : “All of our services are here to support people to live well with their illness. Whether it is equipping you with tools and techniques to manage symptoms or supporting you with the emotions you experience around your diagnosis; having all of these needs supported allows you to focus on living, and the things that are important to you.” 📞 You can contact our Coordination Centre on 01923 60 60 30 , or at coordinationcentre@renniegrovepeace.org between 8am to 6pm, 7 days a week. Busy week for the Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care Community Engagement team, spreading the word out about what Hospice Care is and some of the Compassionate Communities projects On Wed the team visited 💥 Three Rivers District Council & W3RT CVS volunteer fair at Croxley business part, to help highlight all the different types of Hospice volunteering theere is 💥 St Albans Old People's Trust Afternoon Tea launch of The Silver Guide which highlights our Compassionate Cafes 💥 Carpenders Care Home Wellbeing day to talk about our services and see what work we on do together On Thursday, 2 of Ambassadors attended 💥 Abbots OPALs event to highlight our Abbots Café & Hub, along with our other services. Hertfordshire County Council Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Protection Team Health & Independent Living Support (HILS) Age UK Hertfordshire Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership being some of the many services highlighted.
