Jon Noble - Wentworth GC Vice Captain 2025 Congratulations to our Chairman Jon Noble, who has recently been confirmed as Vice Captain of Wentworth Golf Club for 2025 and Captain for 2026.  Wentworth is one of the leading golf clubs in the UK with a prestigious history having hosted a number of leading professional events including the founding Ryder Cup match. THE FAIRFAX, MANCHESTER We have recently captured some drone footage of our project at The Fairfax in Manchester, being undertaken for our client Olympian. The development is really taking shape now with the concrete frame nearing completion and the envelope construction (SFS, curtain walling, insulation, render and brick slips) following close behind. The whole team involved with this project has made fantastic progress. We look forward to the forthcoming topping-out ceremony planned for the new year. HAWTHORNE HOUSE – Xmas Toy Appeal The team at Hawthorne House, Stratford, London, recently completed a Toy Appeal. The site team collected two full shopping trolleys of toys, which have been donated to Newham Council's Toy Appeal. Not only did everyone donate toys generously, but they also raised funds by selling mince pies and cakes in the site canteen. This money will be used to purchase some more toys for the appeal. LEEDS II - WasteShark Our RG Group site at Leeds II is located adjacent to the Leeds and Liverpool canal. The site team led by Jon North have recently utilised an innovative piece of kit called the WasteShark supplied by Yorkshire Design Group to undertake cleaning up of waste floating on the surface of the canal. The Waste Shark is new technology by RanMarine Technology, that we were advised has never been used to assist a construction site previously. Wasteshark Leeds, operated by Canal Connections CIC, recently collected 928 litres of waste, which was made up of 20% man made waste and 80% bio matter waste, while monitoring for imbalances in the marine environment. Twelve million tons of plastic waste enters our oceans every year, with this figure predicted to grow 10 fold over the next decade, this initiative shows the importance of small changes and extracting waste from our city waterways. INCA AWARDS 2024 RG Group are proud to announce that our projects at Morriss House, Nottingham for Unite Students and Broad Street, Birmingham for Cortland have both been awarded INCA awards. Morriss House won the Judges Choice: Environmental Imapct – High Rise category for exceptional environmental impact (social or economic) as a result of incorporating a EWI system into a new build or refurbishment project. System designed by Aliva UK Limited. Broad Street won New Build: Residential - High Rise incorporating a full EWI system with render, traditional or brick slip effect finish category. POTTERY LANE - Newcastle United Foundation Update The RG Group site team have recently made two visits to the Newcastle United Foundation Foodbank with donations of food and toiletries. While there the team discussed ideas about the the run up to Christmas and have agreed to provide a collection of selection boxes for children within the local community, and children who are currently residing in the Children’s ward at Newcastle’s Royal Infirmary Hospital. To date, the site has raised £652.18 in donations from subcontractors who are or have been on the project. A big thank you to Stephensons Group site team who organised a collection, James Robey at JR Crane Services Ltd and Starkold Building Services for placing the shopping order on RG-Group's behalf. POTTERY LANE, NEWCASTLE We recently visited one of our newest sites at Pottery Lane, Newcastle. The RG Group team Chris Broadhead Chris McCabe are progressing the site well, with the tower crane operational by Falcon Tower Crane Services Ltd and Stephenson Group starting the first lift & stair core and initial levels of the super structure. GREETHAM STREET, PORTSMOUTH – Wear It Pink Day The RG Group and Metclad Contracts team at Greetham Street, Portsmouth arranged a “Wear it Pink” day in aid of the Breast Cancer Now charity. As well as a wonderful cake selection, our very own Andy McArthur agreed to shave off his well groomed moustache for charity donations.
