As the travel sector enjoys a record-breaking 2024, major hotel groups are looking to capitalise with transport concepts that extend the hospitality experience beyond four walls. It was great to be back in New York with FIONA THOMPSON for the Global Hospitality Talk held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Boutique Design | BDNY and the NEWH UK product runway evening. It’s been a fantastic opportunity for us to meet a variety of influential global hospitality leaders, existing clients, potential clients, and the wide range of suppliers we collaborate with as Richmond International looks to build on our active projects in North America and Central American markets. Now she’s off on her maiden voyage, lets take a closer look at Cunard’s Queen Anne and the areas Richmond had the pleasure of designing. Richmond worked on the Britannia Club, the largest Britannia Club in the fleet, entertainment spaces the Royal Court Theatre, Room 1840 Casino and Bright Light Society, which is an exhilarating new show bar concept for Cunard, the wellness studio, which offers the widest selecting of facilities on a Cunard ship as well as the open decks. Led by creative director Adam D Tihany, Richmond worked alongside David Collins Studio, Sybille de Margerie - Interior Design and Double Decker on this exciting project.

Last night our team were on board for Cunard Queen Anne’s Inaugural VIP event ahead her maiden voyage on May 3rd. Richmond's principal, FIONA THOMPSON participated on a panel, hosted by Cunard’s VP of Brand and Product, Lee Powell, discussing the design of our interiors including the Britannia Club Restaurant, Bright Light Society Club, Royal Court Theatre and Open Decks. First time attending the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) and ALIS DESIGN+ with my colleague Dennis Irvine held at JW Marriott Live, Los Angeles.
