  • Are you using the most effective accounting method for your business? In this article, Stuart Coker explains the differences between cash accounting and traditional accounting, focusing on their suitability for businesses. Cash accounting records income and expenses only when cash changes hands, making it simpler and preferable for small businesses or sole traders. Traditional accounting, however, offers a more detailed financial picture by recognising transactions as they occur, making it better for larger or credit-based businesses. • Earlier this week, our Chelmsford office was transformed into a hub of festive cheer as we hosted our very first Festive Market! Team members, friends, and family came together to browse a variety of independent stalls, supporting talented local businesses while enjoying mulled wine, mince pies, and hot chocolate to keep the holiday spirit flowing. Our lineup of vendors brought something for everyone, from stunning jewellery to handmade candles and crochet gifts. There were delicious cakes and brownies, beautiful stationery, solid oak chopping boards and coasters, and personalised items to add that special touch to the season. One of our vendors shared this lovely feedback: "𝘈 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯. Whether it’s supporting a local business, sharing a conversation over a mince pie, or simply taking a moment to come together, this event was a celebration of our community. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success - from our fantastic vendors to the team, friends, and family who joined us. #FestiveMarket #SupportingLocal #TeamSpirit #ChelmsfordCommunity

We are delighted to be the Community & Learning Programme Partner for next year's Waddle-on-Sea art trail in aid of Havens Hospices. The trail will see a mini huddle of baby penguins designed by schools, youth groups, and community projects which will join 30 giant penguins in a stunning display. Kingsdown School, which supports children aged 4 to 14 with severe and complex learning difficulties, is taking part thanks to the generous sponsorship of Green Light Print Solutions. Their support for the school and its baby penguin recently made headlines in the Echo. Interested in joining or supporting this wonderful initiative? The deadline to sign-up for the Community & Learning Programme is 5:00pm on Monday, 25 November 2024. Find out more about this exciting project here: https://lnkd.in/eRPeYQtw #Community #Learning #Schools #Fundraising #Charity
