Being socially responsible in all that we do is hugely important to us. This is highlighted by the initiatives that took place on the Talbot Gateway hotel project that Robertson Construction North West completed for Muse and Blackpool Council. Over the course of the project 40 local people were employed and we took on 14 local apprentices. We also hosted work placements and pre-employment courses and developed strong ties with local organisations, schools and colleges. Construction
We’re one of the largest family-owned construction, infrastructure and support services businesses in the UK.
About us
We’re one of the largest family-owned construction, infrastructure and support services businesses in the UK, and we apply the same principles to every aspect of our business today that we did over fifty years ago when Bill Robertson began with his joinery firm in Elgin. Over the years our sustainable growth has enabled us to invest in our business, the future of people and communities, and to deliver on major projects, housing schemes and facilities management for customers nationally. We have the ability to accept big challenges, and build positive, mutually beneficial partner relationships. At the same time we think locally, working with stakeholders and the supply chain to deliver services and infrastructure that will stand the test of time. Today we employ over 3,200 talented people across a broad range of roles including construction, timber engineering, facilities management, capital projects, property development, regeneration, civil engineering, building services and housebuilding. Ultimately, our approach is about making progress safely towards a sustainable future. It’s the Robertson Way. #WeAreTeamRobertson

We’re working with Fife Council as it undertakes one of the largest affordable housing programmes in the country. Tenants are now moving into two of the latest developments, Pitcorthie in Dunfermline where we delivered 33 homes, and Kennoway near Leven where 43 homes have been built. Both have transformed vacant sites into vibrant new communities, featuring a mix of energy-efficient detached and semi-detached properties of various sizes, alongside single-storey amenity and wheelchair-accessible bungalows. Cllr Judy Hamilton, Fife Council’s Spokesperson for Housing and Building Services visited recently and said: “Every new home provides a warmer, healthier environment that improves the wellbeing of our tenants, while also creating jobs and apprenticeships that support the construction industry and our local economy.” Read more about how we’re helping Fife Council in its ambitious delivery of new homes across the region at https://lnkd.in/eDfGVz8j #construction #affordablehousing #community #sustainable

“We’re delighted with the work Robertson has undertaken to upgrade, preserve and enhance the Elmfield Building,” says The University of Sheffield’s Associate Director of Estates Development Mark Holden as Robertson Construction Yorkshire & East Midlands completes its seventh project for the University. The £8.4m refurbishment to the Departments of Politics and Economics has made the building more accessible, sustainable and energy efficient. Works have created contemporary, functional learning environments whilst a new fuel saving heating system was installed along with upgraded insulation and energy efficient glazing to further enhance thermal performance and reduce carbon emissions. Along with many other enhancements, key features from the building’s origins as the Department of Glass Technology have been carefully preserved. Concurrent to this project, we also refurbished the University’s Goodwin Sports Centre Gymnasium building adjacent to site. Careful logistics and planning like streamlined deliveries and shared welfare facilities aligned the projects, minimising the impact of construction within a live campus environment.
