What an incredible afternoon last week at Wembley Stadium for our annual Pitch Day, thanks to the Alzheimer's Society long-standing charity partnership with The Football Association.   Teams from Arch Insurance International, Rothesay, NFP, an Aon company and friends from outside the Insurance industry at Mail Metro Media came together to play the beautiful game on the iconic pitch, all giving a stellar performance.  These memories should be unforgettable. But for those living with dementia, this isn’t the case, because 1 in 3 people born today will go on to develop it in their lifetime. A big thank you to our incredible partners and their supporters – the generous donations and awareness raised will have tremendous impact for those affected by dementia. #wembley #pitchday #charity #dementia #alzheimerssociety #insurance #iuad #insuranceunitedagainstdementia

  • We are pleased to renew our partnership with Clarion Futures to fund the expansion of their vital wellbeing spaces across England especially as we head into the winter. Our Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people many of whom continue to experience financial hardship and social isolation. We hope that as a result of our renewed funding, the spaces will be able to help even more older people living in need by providing financial support as well as warmth and a sense of belonging and connection with their local community.

We’re excited to expand our partnership with the Rothesay Foundation to launch a new wellbeing spaces programme. Building on our warm spaces initiative, this programme will offer activities to enhance physical and mental wellbeing while helping people save on energy bills. Thanks to a donation of over £525,000 from the Rothesay Foundation, and funding from Clarion Futures, it is expected that 60 wellbeing spaces will open across England. These spaces will support people of all ages facing hardship and social isolation, particularly older generations, and will operate for up to 12 months. One of the wellbeing spaces supported in the first round of funding is managed by Communities 1st at the Farriers Way Community Centre in Borehamwood. It provides a welcoming space for locals to connect over hot drinks and biscuits, with activities designed to reduce loneliness and foster intergenerational connections. We are deeply grateful to the Rothesay Foundation for its generosity and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of older people." Paul Farmer, Age UK's Chief Executive We are delighted to announce that the Rothesay Foundation are donating £2.47 million to help support our benefits service for older people in need this winter With the additional funding from the Rothesay Foundation, 11 local Age UKs will provide dedicated staff to help older people complete the benefits application forms.
