🎤It's so good to make the time to do the things you love. Emma loves to sing & has rehearsals this week before an open mic night next week 🎷In Qatar, she sang professionally most weeks with a group of World Class musicians at Doha Jazz 🎙After graduating & a year as Student President, she worked as a singing waitress in 'Yo! Below' in both Farringdon & then Edinburgh. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 My Mum & Dad are both from the Wrexham area so we have really enjoyed the success of the local Football club since it's take over by Rob McElhenney & Ryan Reynolds ☀ We were lucky enough to get to a match pre-season & my Dad also took our nephew to a league game recently after Heidi won tickets through work ⚽ As I write this they have made a very good start to life in League 1 & we hope the good times continue after the community saved the club & kept it going after they dropped into the National League in 2008 #Wrexham #robandryan #fairytale #wealthcreation #flexibleworking

🇮🇹 Very important week ahead as we visit Sardinia to remember my Great Uncle, Cornelius Keefe who died 80 years ago on 13-Sep-1944. With our grandson Rowan, our children & my parents we have 4 generations of the Keefe family going to remember a fifth. I last went with my Dad & brother for the 65th anniversary 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Cornelius & his brothers (including my grandfather 'Pop') were exempt from service as they worked for Brymbo Steelworks, but as the eldest Cornelius felt one of them should serve & volunteered so his younger brothers would not have to 🎹 He was the private Secretary of Henry Beyer Robertson who owned the Steelworks before the war (you can see him with a days catch from the Dee at Pale Hall, now a lovely hotel but then the Robertson family seat). Cornelius was engaged & also an accomplished pianist who held concerts in Wrexham 🛩 Having joined the RAF & completed 25 missions, on their final run, Cornelius' plane crashed. From Mike Napier, 14th Squadron Association... "the aircraft took off from Alghero (N. Sardinia) at 0550 hrs and flew into some high ground as they turned onto course for their patrol; the accident was down to "pilot error" in that the airfield procedures forbad turning in that particular direction during the hours of darkness because of the risk of flying into that very hill. Quite why the pilots should have made such an error is unclear. All the crew were killed...
